I like the panting carrying through in the beats. New vocal harmonies and a different ending. I've played it a couple of times now and I like it.

Now it just ends with more, um, active music. I think radio likes music at the end because it makes it easier to insert some chat over it or lead it into the next song.  ETA: Viv, just so you don't think you're going crazy ;D, I hear the odd new background vocal around the 1 min mark, too, but it doesn't bother me. I always like an up-front vocal, esp. when its Adam. ;D |

The panting I thought was honestly very effective continuing into the vocals. But WTH is going on with the background vocals? Especially around I minute...you can hear the vocal distinctly separate from the rest of the sound. Is it just me hearing this? Halp! |

I think the new version is much better for radio. They could be sending multiple versions out to stations and letting them pick which version they want to play. But I hope that they are using the B104 version but with a clean end (no vocals).

Wow! I was over at the video contest thread and there are now 68 videos posted!! I love how fans are really getting behind this contest. And on the comments posted by the video makers...they are all saying how much fun they had doing the videos! What a brilliant and creative way to pass the time for fans while w-a-i-t-i-n-g for AI any news!! 8-) |

But I did wonder about a "Shady" performance with Nile during Fashion Week (musicians sometimes perform at shows) or somewhere else in New York when I read Nile's "Madonna to Adam Lambert" blog last week about reconnecting with artists he'd worked with: "I've gotten an unusually large amount of calls, emails, and visits from people I've not seen or heard from in a long time this week. . . . This week spanned the gamut of work relationship linkages - folks I've worked with on everything, from Madonna to Adam Lambert." But I wasn't sure if he was just referring to the "linkage" in this photo caption: "Today I recorded a track with Rich Hilton, who also recorded me playing 'Shady' with Adam Lambert." However, Shoshanna did retweet Nile's blog link (maybe just because of Adam's name in it). But whatever happens, I'm feeling good tonight!! |
