IF Randy is in, could it be that Idol broke off talks with Enrique, approached Adam, and Adam said, "Gee, thanks, but, no thanks." After all this jerking around that Idol has done, I wouldn't find it odd if Adam became disenchanted with the gig and decided he didn't want to deal with them for six months. I wouldn't blame Adam for not wanting to be the understudy who got the gig because the regular guy couldn't/didn't want to go on. Been there, done that. He deserves better. Then, Idol had to scramble and bring back Randy. Serves them right. Hope the panel bombs. I'm fine with Adam turning it down.... and he very well may have. Adam didn't turn the job down. He is too smart to do that. The benefits would far out way a couple of months of waiting. NOTHING is wrong with being an understudy! Sutton Foster was a chorus girl who stepped in for for the lead who quit Thoroughly Modern Millie. The rest is history! Adam has been in Musical Theatre, he has learned to wait and he has heard "No" way more than he has heard "Yes". Theatre and dance people are used to this, life goes on. There will be more "Yeses" in the future. I'm still hoping that Nicki gets pissed because Mariah is getting 17 million and she walks! ;D

Funny, I was just coming here to comment on that "possibly" addition. I had just gone back to read last week's Deadline article and the word jumped out at me. The article didn't always read "and possibly Enrique Iglesias." The reporter originally stated, with certainty, "Joining confirmed new judge Mariah Carey will be Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban and Enrique Iglesias." She didn't note on the page that the article was edited or updated in any way and there's no change in the time stamp. That's pretty sheisty. Definitely not honorable (or accurate) reporting. Good catch, misha! On 9/7/2012, the article deadline.com posted said: "According to industry insiders, Fox appears to have settled on a quartet of judges for the upcoming 12th season of American Idol with not a moment to spare as taped auditions are eyed to begin as early as next week. Joining confirmed new judge Mariah Carey will be Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban and Enrique Iglesias who just wrapped his tour with departing Idol judge Jennifer Lopez. Information on their salaries is conflicting, but Carey’s is believed to be in the $15-$17 million dollars, Minaj’s and Iglesias’ in the $10-$12 million range, while Urban is rumored to be earning about $3-$5 million. Don’t forger host Ryan Seacrest, who also is pulling a cool $15 million a season. The role of original American Idol judge, Randy Jackson, is unclear."Now it says: "According to industry insiders, Fox appears to have settled on a quartet of judges for the upcoming 12th season of American Idol with not a moment to spare as taped auditions are eyed to begin as early as next week. Joining confirmed new judge Mariah Carey will be Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban and possibly Enrique Iglesias, who just wrapped his tour with departing Idol judge Jennifer Lopez and is negotiating with Fox. Information on their salaries is conflicting, but Carey’s is believed to be in the $15 million-$17 million range, Minaj’s and Iglesias’ in the $10 million-$12 million range, and Urban is rumored to be earning about $3 million-$5 million. The role of original American Idol judge Randy Jackson remains unclear."Whatever else is or isn't going on with AI, and at this point I'm beyond caring, this "journalist" has lost any claim to journalistic integrity. She can no longer be considered a reliable source, if she ever was, in my opinion.

Okay, i was really nervous about this radio edit. I love trespassing but didn't quite love the first edit we heard. It was fine but seemed kind of arbitrary and unnecessary to me. But this one I get! It definitely changes up the song but in a good, fresh way, I think. I like the ending! Yay! I truly hope radio will play the heck out of it! But why take a song that is 100% Adam and unique and change it up to make it radio friendly? Didn't they already try this with NCOE?! IDGI! I get the Dallas edit version because it shortened the song, but kept the basic song intact. I get making it shorter. But changing it? Why? ETA: OK, I like the ending now. But those gongs are kind of weird! I'm not hearing gongs. Can you name the minutes/secs? Thanks.
