One thing I noticed is the riff/sample, w/e it's called, right between the breathing and "I ain't staying at home" is edited out in the radio version. I never did the research to remember where I heard it before (I honestly thought, "Ghostbusters!" no wait "Dirty Diana!") the first time I heard the song. Does anyone know the part I mean? It's only, like, nine notes. Don't know if this has been discussed (prolly. knowing the depths of analysis all the very knowledgable ppl on this board have given to every note  ) 11 notes: doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo. I know that will be so helpful, lol. |

Quick drive-by post: Me likey those idol news. To me this reads, both Randy and Enrique were in the loop on this 4th seat round-robin...whatever you want to call it, this increases my hope that Adam is the poker card they are quietly holding in their hands. SusieFierce I'm tipping my hat to you, here. Now why this makes any PR sense, is beyond me, because idol is looking rather desperate and not at all like they are on top of things at the moment, so I don't get it. As far as Simon's comment goes, the way I read that is Randy is the best candidate from Simon's perspective (as in the weakest candidate). Adam on idol is not in his interest and Enrique probably not either. Radio edits: I probably prefer the one that is changed up less, but in general I will like any radio edit that is also released on i-tunes. Just so we fans have a chance to push the single up on i-tunes again. Is this possible to release a slightly altered version like this and make it count as a normal single purchase? This is what is bothering me with the Enr - Randy "switch": Lets say Enr. is out for whatever reason and now Randy is back in as the "last resort"... WHERE IS ADAM in this? We always reasoned that if not Enr. then Adam. .. How is this a positive development? As much as I can't see them going with three African Americans on the panel, I still don't understand how this new rumor can be seen as positive for us ??? Re new TP edit: I love every version of TP I've heard so far- the album, all live performances and both radio edits....the song is just soooo good! |

I really LOVE this new radio remix of TP. For me, the original recorded version was never as good as the live renditions. I've never really liked the ending of the version on the cd. This new remix has a much better ending than the original. It sounds like Adam has triumphantly broken thru the yellow and black tape and is doing a little fuckyall jig. I just hope it is sold as non-album remix so folks who have the album can buy it on iTunes. Exactly. Love. It. I really LOVE the B104 remix, I am not the age group radio is hoping to seduce .....I do believe heathcliff is though so "Yippee" I am not too old to appreciate "COOL" music 8-) One question though for anyone willing to answer........does RCA go back to Pharrell, since he is the producer, and ask him to submit new cut/remix versions of Trespassing for radio? Just curious, who re-works the song when submitted to radio for airplay? |

Man, I really like the radio edit of Trespassing. I wasn't the biggest fan of the album version, but this new one is pretty snappy. Really like the new vocal layering/echoing too.
