The main reason why I think Randy's coming back as a judge is that Simon said so last night on Twitter. But really, those hashtags and references to Idol on those Tweets about Adam are weird. Particularly the one that says: "Good luck with everything! #AmericanIdol"
Good luck with everything and immediately after that hashtag? It's weird, weird, weird.

I am not in disagreement that Randy's time is up but as an Adam fan I felt the need to defend his record when he is being trash talked. He was good for Adam so he was good for me. What uselessness he's been since season 8 doesnt overshadow what he did for Adam. I just don't understand being an Adam fan and hating Randy at the same time. His time is up. He's served his purpose. But I cannot hate on him. I don't hate Randy. He seems like a very ncie man. He even treid to help Alisan Porter with her music, and a few of the Idol kids like Brooke White. He is doing a big PR week this week for Diabetes. I hate him as a judge! I would take back Steven Tyler's "beautiful" before I would want Randy on the panel. << For real! |

I really am trying to scroll past all this but I want to say again that I will forever be a fan of Randy's for the support he gave Adam on AI, specifically the comment he gave after Black or White, just after the gay pics came out, and Adam was afraid they would cost him the vote-- "I love who you are, I love what you do. When you got it you got it, and baby (dawg? Some such word) you got it! ". Randy maybe annoyingly inarticulate but in this comment he said exactly what needed to be said--what still needs to be said. It is not Randy's fault Adam (probably) doesn't have the job, so for me, who's judgements always seem to come down to how people have impacted Adam, I put Randy in the good guy box. And I don't even consider if he was supportive enough afterwards since it all pales in comparision to the standing up for his lifestyle, and its insignificance, in front of millions. I am sorry for all the bitterness and anxiety this Idol rumor has caused. And for the most part it has all been caused by rumors and rags. I've been rereading the vocal masterclass thread and it really sooths my soul. Oh God, I hadn't noticed that. What the hell does that mean???!!!  I swear I feel as if I was in a rollercoaster. What the f**k???! "Good luck with everything! #americanidol", what the f**k does that mean???? Yep! 2 random people added that to their tweets last night! In 3 years, I do not remember anyone doing that! Now 2 in one night! WTF!  yup. Trying to process and going in the real loop the loop...: However- why would he say something to random people in a bar? . Logically he could only say that he is waiting and they are tweeting the hashtag as a "wish" . |

Jumping in to Idol rumour speculation for the first time ever. (No really, it’s true! This is the FIRST comment I’ve ever made about the judges panel, other than to say I’m not gonna comment on it because I’m really conflicted about it, LOL)
Here is what I think. Warning for rampant and baseless speculation!
Negotiations with Enrique have broken down. Idol still wants him, so they are still working on him.
But, Idol needs a panel for next week’s judges round. So, back in goes Randy, the ever-handy substitute. They need judges’ faces in these rounds, but there is no reason they can’t change them. The year simon left, I’m sure they had a series of guest judges during these auditions rounds.
Will Randy be sitting at the table when the live shows begin in January? Probably not. That chair might belong to Enrique. Or to Adam, if things with Enrique don’t work out.
Does it matter if Adam isn’t on screen for these first rounds? I don’t think so. The big promo opportunity comes from having screen time and speaking time and performance time and press conferences while the live shows are on. In my opinion.
And here is a lulzy yet disturbing thought, it being fashion week in NY and all. Since we really know nothing about anything…what if Idol has not been speaking to Adam about a judging role, but some other role on the show. And what if the role they’ve been discussing with him is….dun dun dun!!!...the on camera stylist role. The same thing Tommy Hilfiger did at some point.
No I’m not really being serious, IMO that would not be an upward career move in any way. But LOLOLOLOLOL at the thought. And stranger things have happened. :D
(I love Adam’s questionable and fearless fashion sense. And it would be entertaining. But I have no wish to see Adam reduced to such a gimmick, in case anyone takes this seriously)
