Here's the thing, if they wanted to go "more radio friendly" than they should have just chosen Cuckoo. And the irony of choosing Adam's mission statement and then changing it to be more radio friendly is well......... ironic! I'm not going to say anythhing else about the songs. I don't want to be a "wanker." You could never be a wanker, either literally (unless you had a recent sex change) or figuratively. Really, you are a sweetheart. But I did have a couple of thoughts about "radio friendly". In my opinion, the first two singles were chosen not because the songs were "radio friendly". BTIKM was supposed to be WWFM 2.0, irregardless of what was currently getting high rotation on the radio and it also satisfied some Claude Kelly commitment (I made that part up). NCOE was chosen chiefly because of the Bruno Mars connection, another specious choice but one which was only had "radio friendly" as a possible back-up reason. Trespassing will stand on its own and I don't think the radio edits will have a huge impact.

No, no! It has nothing to do with their relationship! It has to do with fair judging of the contestants. I don't give a fuck about their relationship. It would affect their judging. It will be like having 3 judges instead of 4. you are right.....judging sucks anyhow... The best job is Ryan's job -- no one disagrees with him because he never takes a position but he gets ton of camera time.

thank you! No mention of NYC on the way home? No, he didn't mention NYC. Only that he was rushing home to LA. I do hope he makes a stop in NYC. And though he'd be on his way to LA via NYC he wouldn't have mentioned it - I think ???

This Idol 'stuff' has finally gotten me to feel like this: I'm tired of all the wait and BS and I feel it is a waste of perfectly good energy to keep dragging this judge thing out. If Adam gets it... fine...if not....moving on. If Randy is the 3rd/4th judge, IMO, Idol will have missed a great opportunity with Adam to give the show some much needed 'energy' and spark. Their loss....I'll be glad Adam wasn't aboard their sinking ship. Looking forward to see what Adam might be doing with the Blondes tonight!

On Idol -- looks like the whole game will be over soon.
TV Guide is reporting that "Fox is expected to announce the new Idol judges’ table by the end of the week."

THR article sounds to me like AI just picked Randy so that they have a panel to announce before the judges audition, which means thay can possibly change the panel later: The current plan, according to the source, is to announce an Idol judges panel of Carey, Minaj, Urban and Jackson in time for the show's on-site auditions, which start by the end of September.
Does it sound like that to you? Can it happen that they have Randy for a couple of days for the judges audition so the rest of the panel gets "familiar" with judging, then he's out and Adam jumps in? That is to make the transition from the old and the new idol run smoothly ? ??? Well, but Randy would never agree to that. So I think that's a too unrealistic thought :-(

Thanks for the side-by-side text of the original and revised Deadline articles, jazzhands, and showing us that in addition to "possibly" the reporter also added "and is negotiating with Fox" to the text so it would not seem as if she had ever reported it as a fact and done deal that Enrique was joining Idol. Really dishonest journalism. So many reports about Randy as judge are using Deadline as their source, too. I know Deadline is usually considered reliable, but it's easy to be right all the time when you simply change what you wrote whenever you're wrong!
Didn't Shirley Halperin tweet once that she thought Idol would announce the names on 9/12? Sounds like we might be hearing something tomorrow. I hope.
ETA: I just went to Shirley's Twitter page and saw that she retweeted Nile's "Madonna to Adam Lambert" blog tweet, too. I have no idea if this is unusual for her to do or not.
