I like the radio edit (especially the one the Texas station played). And, basically, it is what it is. I hope fans can get behind it because if Trespassing does not do at least moderately well, there will most likely be no more singles from this era. How this single does is kind of important.

I LOVE Trespassing! I want Adam to take his rightful place on radio and it looks like this single is catching on. I wish they would give US a greenlight on requesting...can't wait.

I don't think it's that dramatic. I've always tought that Cuckoo and Shady would work better as singles than Trespassing. If this doesn't work out, for God's sake, I really hope they try Cuckoo. Who doesn't love Cuckoo? I'm sure that one would work.

Who doesn't love Cuckoo? I'm sure that one would work. I don't. I mean, I'm okay with it on the CD but it's not my favourite and surely not for a single. I love Shady but don't think it's single material either. And even though I think he won't get another single if Trespassing tanks...if for some reason he does get another single, it should be Naked Love (though that's more a summer song imo) or Pop That Lock.

Just listened again with headphones and it makes me excited for the song all over again. Love the ending. It has retro funk vibe. I think they did a great job with it. I am sorry for those who don't like it. That's kind of how I felt about the first edit. Hopefully it will grow on you or at least be a big hit so other faves will get played on the radio ;D!

For people that don't like negativity - please scroll: I was searching through the last threads and I didn't find too many opinions about the new radio edit of "Trespassing". I'm also a member of a board here in Germany, called "Adam News" and the general opinion on this board is, that this new edit sucks.... A LOT! To say that I'm frustrated and disappointed beyond words would be an understatement. I really do hope that it is due to the soundquality on soundcloud that Adam's voice seems to be so harsh without the usual warmth. Why take a brillant song and edit it to death???? I dunno what to think [/IMG] :-/
I do not think that we know what the radio strategy is or if this is the radio edit that will be sent worldwide. > BTW I like it. But that is just one person's opinion. The "consensus" of one Adam news board is probably the opinion of 10 or 15 people who are Adam fans. And that is not a useful indicator of what the general music buying public will like. The "consensus" of Adam fans in early November 2009 was that FYE was going to go Platinum and WWFM should not be released as a single. Go back and look, I was one of many who really believed in FYE. Hits are hard to predict. If it was easy, A&R execs would not be paid so much.
Well to be fair to FYE as a single IF it had been released by Rhianna, Britney or Kesha it would've shot straight to #1. The song is a great song. Please don't tell people what to do.

Pop That Lock too, yes. Naked Love, I don't think it'd work that well. But maybe I'm thinking in Spanish terms when it comes to succesful singles in my country.

It's been my favorite since the beginning!

Interesting facts about real life after winning. Celebrity Judges of The Voice, X Factor and American Idol steal spotlight from contestants By Chris Talbott, The Associated Press September 12, 2012 7:27 AM www.calgaryherald.com/entertainment/celebrity/Celebrity+Judges+Voice+Factor+American+Idol/7229698/story.html
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Javier Colon's family and friends were so excited when he won the first season of "The Voice," they assured him he was set for life — and famous.
The 35-year-old musician knew better.
"I never expected that I would be like the next Kelly Clarkson," Colon said, referring to the superstar who got her start on "American Idol." ''Expectations and hopes are different things. Fortunately for me, I've had a lot of experience in the music business — some good ones and some not so good ones — that led me to auditioning for 'The Voice.' I've learned to just not expect much."
More than a year after his win, Colon is without a record contract and still trying to land a breakout hit on the charts. He is just one of the increasing singing contest winners who are struggling to find their way after TV success. Among the more recent "Idol" winners who have faltered after capturing the crown include David Cook and Kris Allen; and while runner-up status or even being a top finalist could lead to fame in the early seasons, like with Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry, prospects for non-winners have dropped so much that this year, "Idol" stopped offering second-place finishers a guaranteed recording contract.
