Even with 3 big singles, Kelly has yet to go platinum. Ideally, the Grammy is not supposed to reward sales. Album sales are in the cellar for almost everyone but a few artists & I think those in the industry realize that. Trespassing, IMO, has just as good a chance as any other excellent album out there.
I am not saying it will, but I just can't live my life with doom and gloom all the time. :-/

All Trespassing really needed was decent sales. It didn't have to go platinum. But it probably needed to sell more than 150K. I don't like doom and gloom either. Maybe Trespassing will catch on at radio and the album will have a second life. |

I am optimistic too  . Trespassing was my choice for a single since Day 1, if things fall into place it has potential to be Adam's break-out song. But, you can be optimistic and still acknowledge that album sales have been disappointing. |
