I don't want to get back on the Idol train given my tendency to get too worked up at times, but to me the decision to put Randy back on the panel is such a ridiculous one given the quality of the panels of Idol's competitors that it is hard for me to conceive of it as legitimate. I mean they run the biggest show on TV for goodness sake, they just can't be that clueless.

NUTS in a good way though....Mys*&@^#r ;-) tbh, I am also spinning my head what is going on. Something does not yet add up, and I agree, I also somehow believe that Adam is still in NYC. Idol needs something that is a surprise, otherwise they are going to get absolutly zero press out of their judges announcement, especially if it happens on Sunday. Just like you, I believe we are still missing a piece in the puzzle. Now whether that missing piece involves Adam, who knows, but I am not ruling it out either. So, why doesn't Adam or his camp just say...no, I didn't get the job? He usually defuses rumor--rather swiftly--so why not now? Hmmm? :dunno: And, why not just announce the judges? Why such a secret? I might just need a minute to get used to them before the show starts. (Yes, I am an Idol watcher since year 2 ? with Reuben and Clay (Reuben is from B'ham and then to Bo Bice - he is also from Bama. And Paul McDonald--yep, Bama. And Taylor Hicks--you guessed it.- I don't think I'm wrong about that). Back to the point...I feel something is going on. Oh I know!!!! maybe Adam is the fashion consultant this year. YAY!!! That would be cool. Remember Ring of Fire Zipper Pants? ;D And Slow Ride Zebra Pants? and the Lipstick Shirt? ;D .

I, of course, don't know anything about what type of agreement Adam has with Idol about when he can or can't saying anything definite, but I do know these agreements can be very limiting.
The band in which my son plays (a small indie group) recently made an agreement with a promoter for gig A that they would not advertise, list on their own website, or mention in interviews any gig that would be within XXX miles of gig A until some weeks after gig A was over. They could not even be listed on gig B's website until then. So no mention of gig B starting the moment they lined up gig A (which was quite some time before gig A actually happened) until a few weeks after gig A was over. Total silence.

Watching Fashion Police. I'm in the minority liking Joan Rivers. All of her jokes are canned, and awkward, but she was one of the very first strong women in entertainment. Love Kelly Osbourne tho. The panel other than Joan Rivers sound spontaneous. She's more of the bah-dah-boom Catskills era of comedy. But she was a trailblazer.
