Poll: The Greatest Guitarist of All Time, Round 4 — Les Paul Vs. Brian May The match-up should be ending in about an hour. What started as a close match, with Les Paul ahead of Dr. Bri by a few points, is ending up with Dr. Bri winning the match 60% to 40%. Great job to everybody who helped bring this one home safely for Brian, just as he did for Adam in Hammersmith... (<<photobucket probs continue. If this image doesn't display, just so you know, it's the gif of Dr. Bri escorting Adam off-stage after Dragon Attack.) Winning this round puts Brian May in the Top 8 Guitarists of All Time. Round 5 for Brian will be coming up late this week, pitting him against the winner of the Jimmy Page versus Robert Johnson match-up to get into the Top 4. www.guitarworld.com/poll-greatest-guitarist-all-time-round-4-les-paul-vs-brian-may
I think Dr. Bri has Glambert power + Queen power and will be hard to beat. The "right" answer in this round is Les Paul but I voted from Bri -- I did it cause he supports Adam.

I think the word "service" might atually mean real tea! And we know Adam loves tea. Our UK Atoppers: Don't the Brits have High Tea, like mid-afternoon or something? Maybe a habit Adam picked up from Brian and Roger? High Tea High tea is usually served around 5:00 PM. The menu is extensive, like that of canapés hors d'oeuvres at a cocktail party. All other aspects of high tea are the same as afternoon tea. www.etiquettescholar.com/dining_etiquette/gourmet_guide/drink/afternoon_and_high_tea.htmleta: correct the link

I also totally thought the contest could have been set up as a "diversion." It came kind of out-of-the-blue and is wrapping up quickly (which was why I originally thought the videos might be used for the music video).
I also, at this point, kind of wonder why Adam has not shut down the speculation. His name isn't being buzzed about anymore, so it's not like he is still getting press. He could have quietly ended all speculation, as I am guessing that he has probably known for a week or two that things were not going in his direction.
And, adding to all this, I don't think he is back in LA. He may have flown somewhere, and he might not be in NYC anymore, but I don't think he is home. I agree it sounds like he might be in a hotel somewhere watching all the videos, and "high tea service" sure sound like room service tea, to me.

It’s very unusual that Adam didn’t kill the AI rumors if he already knew that he didn’t get the job. Is it possible that AI and Adam’s management team are still trying to finalize the deal?

Adam has reasons to maintain a good relationship with Idol -- it is an important promotional connection for him. AI9 - he was the Top 9 mentor + performed on the results show, AI10 he performed on the Top 13 Results show, AI11 he performed on the Top 3 results show. Whatever happens, Idol will do something for Adam again this year. -- If he breached the confidentiality agreement, as others have, it would hurt him with Idol and damage his reputation in the industry. Adam is not alone -- Enrique, Pharrall and others have also said nothing. The difference, for me, is that Adam talked a lot about Idol. And he was asked about it in interviews. Enrique never mentioned possibly being a judge, ever. And I don't think Pharrell has ever said anything about it either (he may have never even been a serious candidate, for all we really know) If there is some kind of confidentiality agreement in place, then it makes sense. But, Adam is not really on the radar for Idol right now, so I don't know why it would matter.

But none of the other people (Nick Jonas, Enrique Iglesias, Pharell and who else...) killed those rumours. So I'm neither surprised nor reproachful that Adam didn't.

As with everything subjective, reasonable people can disagree. I was pleased to see 3 important Guitar World Magazine editors chose Brian to win this match: Jimmy Brown, Senior Music Editor, Josh Hart, Online Producer, and Paul Riario, Technical Editor. I expect Jimmy Page will win his match against Johnson, and Brian will be hard-pressed to beat the Led Zeppelin legend. But, maybe Adam fans will have a surprising impact there. I hope so. If Brian takes the top spot in this survey, he'll most likely get a nice feature write-up in Guitar World Magazine, which could include pictures of Q+AL.

[/IMG] ETA: for those who really don't want to watch: JB has tea with the tiara & toddler "sensations"
No, it was cute. The Biebs was a good sport about it. What's so horrible about a teen heartthrob being sweet to two little girls? [/IMG] BTW, these little girls are not from Toddlers and Tiaras, they are just dressed in ballerina outfits. They are from the UK and their video went viral when their parents posted a video of them singing Nicki Minaj's Super Bass. Ellen had them on the show after that and NM came on and performed with them. The most painful thing I saw this week was Chris Brown's tattoo. There are worse things than a teenager being a good sport and being sweet to some very young fans. Just sayin...

Why does he have to talk about Idol and the judgeship? If he does it will only garner more curiosity and more questions. Then the press comes in, things Adam says are taken out of context,Idol gets annoyed,Adam doesn't get to go on the show. It just can get so out of control.. more explaining. My job as a fan is to support him through both the ups and the downs. I know I wouldn't want to explain why I didn't get a gig.. would you?? As far as I'm concerned ,I have moved on and it seems like Adam has too. Truly it seemed from the start that Adam was surprised and delighted that he was mentioned for Idol. I guess I built the castle in the sky.Not so Adam.

I think he would have killed the rumor if it weren't a least a *little* true . I mean , he's pretty honest , and , it's not like Adam to leave us BURNING and analyzing every.single.thing he does/says/eats/visits/walks on/drinks/combs his hair with/wears/tweets/and on and on and on .... I mean , I guess it's too much , he would not do that to his Glamberts if there weren't at least a *little* truth to this .
