BTW There was a wide diversity in the winners. They represented many parts of the world, races, genders, minorities, orientations, ages, appearances, special needs, singers, dancers, nerds, rebels, etc. About the only ones missing (from the zillons of entries not just winners) were stereotyped Glambert older women... This!! I too have been really impressed by the great diversity among those who put themselves out for this video contest. While many of us started this day with sad and angry feelings about the results of the AI judging panel, we've ended the day with the joy of his "Trespassing" video contest. Instead of angsting about the AI results, for the past couple of days Adam was home with Sauli checking out all the videos. To me these videos reflect how is he is beloved throughout the world among all kinds of people - and in a greater way, much more satisfying and gratifying than sitting on the AI judging panel. I still hold out some hope that he will be called on to do some mentoring as I think this where he can really shine - by working one on one with the contestants. We'll see. But for now I just want to say - Adam, you are one class act!!

adamrocks Awwwww..... shucks bb, ta muchly
I'm never too far away, but am getting to threads so late these days that it's almost futile to post so long after conversations have moved on. I've also being doing a bit of a ~bridgeymah and staying away from all the AI dramaz/sagaz. Sorry, but it bores me rigid tbh  Just really glad it's all over
Also need to take a bit of a breather right now and make a concerted effort with some RL stuff which has got badly neglected whilst I've been off berting round the world...haha Am feeling a leetle bit burnt out right now AND I have Melbourne trip coming up in just 4 weeks, which is panning out to be an EPIC Kiwi invasion..lol
It's slowly turning into beautiful Spring weather here and I need to do gardening and other house/outside shit. The variance in our time zones mean that if I'm here with the majority of you all in your real time, then that is usually the best part of my daylight day and I end up sitting in front of the computer all day ~playing in Adamland and getting SFA done!. Then in my night time when I would normally settle down to catch up on everything - most of you guise are fast asleep, although I do appreciate the night shift heaps. I'm dipping my toes into twitter every so often to stay sorta up to date and speed reading threads when I get a chance.

I understand, Catz. Maybe when you are all caught up you'll finish your recaps for us. Glad to hear you are doing fine and are checking in sometimes. You are off to Melbourne huh? Lucky you and other NZ'ers that are going to see the amazing and gorgeous AFL in concert again! ;D

Adding to a ded thread but quick comment on Keith Urban -- he started playing country/rock music early on in Australia. He competed in many talent contests in his youth and won them. He knows what the competition angle is -- he ventured forth to the country music capital, Nashville, and was promptly shot down. He spent MANY years trying to make it here in the states and FINALLY broke through when country started doing more crossover stuff. I like him ALOT -- gives a GREAT performance -- singer/songwriter.
