Que Sera Sera. Oh well, I personally have decided not to give hits to any Idol articles. I won't be watching the show as the only reason I would have considered it would have been Adam as judge. And no I'm not really surprised I was wrong about the panel because I pretty much didn't think Idol was really that smart. I trust in Adam first and foremost and as long as he is happy that's all that counts. I'm going to assume that there was some kind of gag order in place to keep Adam from letting us know that he was out of the running because I really don't think he would purposely string us along like that. We all know that if he had confirmed he was out of the running he would've gotten more press for that than the few little mentions of him still being a possible choice.
Even though I held out until the official announcement I'm not upset or even surprised. So moving forward I can't wait to hear the announcement of the Trespassing video contest winners.

Yeah, that's what I've been saying for awhile now. And not necessarily (or not just) the money but also the general vibe atm is that Idol is a mess and he wants no part in it. And that's the story I'm sticking with 8-) |

I haven't really made comments on the whole AI thing. I would like to have seen him on AI and I'm not going all "sour grapes" since it didn't work out that way. I'm not an avid AI watcher, so the lack of Adam won't change my viewing habits (habits would have changed had he been on it). We don't know what some of the judges will bring to the table. We know Randy. Keith Urban seems to bring a good judge rep from The Voice Australia. Mariah might do well--who knows. At least she understands singing. Nikki ????? So I'm not going to predict the demise of the show. Even if the ratings are lower this year, the show is still big. Clearly, something strange has been going on in the background with hiring people. I mean, judges announced via Twitter on a Sunday morning minutes before the filming starts?!?!?! Talk about anticlimactic.

IMO they decided to go with an "industry" person instead of four singers... I choose to believe Shosh that there is a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes and the team is working on the promo opportunities. The positive for me is not having to watch AI. I assume that the art and the radio date will be announced soon and we will move on with requesting and such. |
