www.afterelton.com/meme-09-20-2012?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitterMorning Meme: Adam Lambert Sings For Equality, Neil Patrick Harris Rocks the Vote, and Chris Colfer and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Dueling Ninja PowersPosted by Ed Kennedy on September 20, 2012 Adam Lambert is set to headline a fundraiser for marriage equality in Maryland, though the concert is being held at the 9:30 Club in D.C. I don't know if the 9:30 Club is still in the same building it was when I used to live in D.C., but it wasn't a huge venue, so get your tickets fast for the September 25th event. Also in that same article: Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins has become the first member of her party to sponsor the Uniting American Families Act, which would give same-sex partners the ability to sponsor their partners for citizenship. "This legislation would simply update our nation's immigration laws to treat bi-national couples equally. This important civil rights legislation would help prevent committed, loving families from being forced to choose between leaving their family or leaving their country." Thanks for posting this. This is important in the grander scheme of things, because the current situation is super-unequal. And could be important for Adam personally some day.

[moans] Can't. National meeting where peeps are coming from all over the country. Unless I'm actually dead, I'm expected to be there. We have a very diverse group of professionals. Surely there is a doctor here who could write you a note. ;D I'm bumming too. 9:30 Club used to be my stomping grounds. lol I can write you that note, Hoppers!

OT but interesting. I just read that P!NK is about to have her first #1 album! She's been around for over 10 years. How is that even possible?! Talk about under appreciated! :dunno:

Well that's one of the only decent pieces of news I've heard all day. Ok. Starting to feel better. A little.
