Honestly, why is it that Adam is perceived so differently in China, Japan, etc.? Ever since seeing that airport video I have been wondering. It also brings to mind that mall stop he made in Finland where tons of young fans were lined up to see him. Why is he perceived so differently in these countries compared to the US? Is it that there is no reality show stigma? Or is it that they don't have radio DJs dictating who is "cool?" Is is a voice/sound thing? Why is it that he is too often the butt of jokes in this country, but is considered cool and hip in these other places??? He deserves to be taken seriousy. He has earned it. Large fan groups greeting pop stars and movie/TV stars at Asian airports are common -- for example 1,500 fans greeted Park Yoo Chun in Shanghai in August: ph.omg.yahoo.com/news/park-yoo-chun-turns-shanghai-upside-down-with-000100280.html I track online sentiment on social media for Adam -- across the world and in the US and starting this week I am tracking China which I can now do in English -- there are infrequent negative comments about Adam anywhere -- less than 3%. Look at last Monday's post for more info. Regarding Adam being joked about. Public figures in the US get mocked, joked about, etc. Goes with being a celebrity. But, in Adam's case it is not the general way he is talked about. On Twitter in the past hour not one negative comment about Adam. There was one comment coded as "negative" --- but this is not a negative comment.... RT @nckjonas: RT @nckjonas: Adam Lambert -Aftermath : I'm love w/ this song! " wanna scream out no more hiding, don't be afraid of what's inside" The most common sentiment is people posting that they LOVE Adam or his music. And in an Adam Lambert social media word cloud -- from Twitter, Facebook and blog comments, the biggest word (after Adam) is LOVE. I'll build one for Monday's post because it is actually beautiful. ** If someone wants to find anything, they can. If the glass is full of water, then there are still air bubbles on sides.

Q3, I am talking about my own experiences in "real life." And all the stupid jokes about make-up, etc. Maybe I should have clarified. I am not even on twitter. I was absolutely ridiculed in the past for Adam/ Idol interest. (This was by people in my own family who thought the whole thing was hilarious and had a blast teasingme about it.) So I am basically a closet fan these days. Adam and AI are just not cool where I live. And Adam gets no respect in Chicago.

YES to this! @glam_alidol is the best! I'm not sure how she does it? As of lately, I have developed a new, crippling fear: imagine Adam came to Serbia and I would have to do this stuff, you know, be in charge of the pics, tweets, streams... And I can't do it, I wouldn't know how, and I would die to disappoint any of you... So, he better not come. I'll survive. I am suspecting she is an undercover Sony employee. How else could she have all these pics as they happen. And a script from the TV show? Not to mention that she is allowed to have a Twitter account! I thought Twitter was blocked in China for ordinary people? C'mon! Whoever she is, I LOVE HER!!! Why are we referring to glam_alidol as a she? Didn't Maddie told us that glam_alidol is a guy? here is her quote:
@glam_alidol is a truly passionate and hard-working glambert. We were chatting on weibo last night and he said he's kinda busy assisting some fan activities as part of Adam's Shanghai agenda, and he's not going to the airport but he would tweet if he had time. Guess what? he twitted up a storm! Thank you, @alidol!!
