The fans love and admire Adam for being himself,It's not only his great voice but also his great courage and character that make him so totally special.

I do that, too! Until Adam came into my life, I had been out of the USA one time in 50 years!

I still can't believe the countries I 'see'. They may be from 37,000 feet, but, hey, I touched down in Amsterdam for a few minutes, so I really feel I've been in the Netherlands!

I'm gonna try to touch a 'few bases' while I'm here on a rare weekday off - in the daytime, before the thread is ending.

Over the weekend, I felt concern about radioplay. So, I emailed my local station with the question - how are 'spins' chosen? Will they play 'Trespassing'? They have played Adam's singles in the past. I was not OTT or fangirly; I was curious, and I said I was a follower of Adam's music. I received a reply from the program director and AM DJ this morning! In part, it read "It's verrry early in the cycle of the 'Trespassing' single . . . and we are huge fans of Adam."

I've voted for Brian every day in the Greatest Guitarist poll. When Queen performed with Adam, he would play and sustain one note and just shatter my senses. That, to me, is a great instrumentalist.

Like nonotme, Q3 - - the late sixties saw me through my teens and into adulthood. 1967-1969 was an incredible time for music. I wonder if that bursting seed will ever open again.
I absorbed, wallowed, and thrilled to the music of, yes, Jimi Hendrix - and The Doors, Big Brother & The Holding Company, Jefferson Airplane, Canned Heat, Chambers Brothers, Blues Project, Butterfield, Beach Boys (once Jefferson Airplane opened for them), Country Weather, Country Joe & The Fish, Paul Revere & The Raiders, Mamas & Papas, Moby Grape, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Frumious Bandersnatch . . . . and, a few years later, Journey was added (I went to high school with the manager and the bass player). There was room enough on the stage for all these bands, way back then. The Fillmore, the Avalon, Winterland . . . . the light shows!

There's room on the stage for Adam - and Adele, and Gaga, Pink . . . you get the picture. Adam's character is a throwback to a time when the celebration seemed to envelop everyone - musicians, singers, roadies, fans . . . I was there with peace, love, flowers and dancing, freely . . . no wonder my children's favorite photos of their mom & dad are of the two of us, longhaired and tie-dyed, standing in front of our VW Bus - converted into a camper (we cut the roof off) - my handmade curtains in the windows. The photo looks more romantic and nostalgic than it really was, I think. But I won't tell them. I won't tell me!
