I find it hard to believe that we are rehashing the good old "should Adam play a straight role" discussion , the very one that has been beaten to death more than once... Adam's acting in those 20 secs was better than I expected  his PROFILE !!!! also, looks like they might have the full songs.... I can't even imagine how much fun it was for Adam to be part of this huge DRESS UP party! He got to be his fav character, his band got dressed up AND he got to perform TWO OF HIS OWN SONGS!!!! I AM SO VERY HAPPY FOR HIM!!! And now he is on his way to NZ and OZ where he will feel the fan love! so, lets keep requesting and lets keep enjoying the gift that is Adam! I brought up the twitter comments so that I could say that Adam has always played straight characters. The novelty here (on PLL) is that he is playing himself, Adam Lambert, the gay rock star. I see his conversation with Aria as simply flirty, friendly chatter. Real-life Adam is flirty, friendly with everyone. Also, Adam is a good actor. He spent most of his life acting on stage. That kind of acting is bigger. His problem is acting with the camera right in his face. He has to be more subtle and he needs to practice that. I'm sure it's something he can learn the same way he had to learn to sing with a camera in his face on Idol. |

Seems to me like Adam was told NOT to do a sexy come on, whether straight gay or whatever. This is on the family channel. Nothing predatory about that exchange. ;D So if he's supposed to be interested in her, that was some Emmy level acting. Because I don't think that's how Adam "hits" on people. ;D JS Yeah! Where was "get your ass down to the front"? ;D Adam was pleasant to watch, which was all that was required in this scene. It would be cool to see him a bigger part sometime where he could play himself all the way -- sexy, rebellious, and sweet. |

People on twitter are talking about Adam playing that scene as a straight guy. :dunno: Didn't Adam or Shoshanna already say that he's playing himself on PLL. "People on twitter" have too much time on their hands, I think  |

I dont think that discussing the first time we've seen Adam act for television is remotely tearing apart everything he does. In fact I think everyone has been pretty positive. And what if someone didnt like it? Would that mean they should lie? Does it mean that they are not dedicating enough time to requesting? #keepingitreal

Well, first, I think the part when he is singing is absolutely effin GREAT GREAT GREAT.
And I think his little interaction with "Aria" is CUTE CUTE CUTE. I did not think it was anything other than lines given to him, which seem to fit right into the little story, and which I think come across as something similar to what he would say. He seems the way he's come across to me in many interviews of his I've watched - sweet, genuine and always-sexy. That's who I think he is.

Ok, ok. I just gave my opinion, to which I'm entitled, and I said it may be different in the context of the show. News bulletin:Adam is practically perfect in every way, but his performances are open to discussion. I think it's a great opportunity, and he's not playing Richard the Third! I get that. I'm NOT going to hide behind the rock with junkets. Melliemom, I didn't mean to come off as harsh. Lampoon, I'll be your straight woman, and you can give me fashion advice anytime.LOL
