Love that News video. They really captured why he is so special in only a 2 minute segment. (Except for the "son" part ;D ) And it looks like his hair is slowly getting back to Moscow/Ste Agathe/Wolf hair. I so agree! They really capture it: And that's the magic of Lambert the beautiful outsider - understood only by his fans of which there are millions. They see him for a standard bearing for being different in a world of conformity.
“For the younger fans I like to take on a big brother role for them,” Lambert says. “I like to encourage strength, bravery, originality and connection and some of my older fans look at me like a son.”

Billboard @billboardTop 24 'American Idols' Of All Time bit.ly/RXnG0m 9. Adam LambertAlbum Sales: 1,013,000 Track Sales: 4,527,000 Radio Plays: 438,000 YouTube Plays: 81,912,740 "Idol" season eight runner-up has arguably made more of a name for himself than eventual winner Kris Allen. Glambert released the No. 3-debuting "For Your Entertainment" in 2009 (becoming the first openly gay pop singer to sign to a major label), which spawned three singles on the Hot 100, and will put out his sophomore effort, "Trespassing," in March. I guess this is really old -judging by the TP mention in the future tense its beginning of 2012 - however -(sorry to knit pick): "arguably" more of a name than NAL??? WTF... not to mention his placement.. whatever... I am so excited for Adam being in NZ - our wonderful NZTribe being able to see him and talk to him and get his autographs....!!!! on the home front - requesting 3 times/day.

I find this very sad that Trespassing is not on the shelves of music stores in Fance. Also here in Finland Prisma department store did not have it anymore (but we do have radio presence). Also bad news that radio in Germany did not as yet get Trespassing single which I think might suit very well to their taste (stereotypical assumption, sorry, but they have a lot of popularity for hard rock bands and 'the attitude track' might do well).
IMO, to sell more Adam needs to come to Europe and do some promo, preferably with a concert or two. Otherwise people won't know about his new music. I understand that Japan, China, Australia are bigger markets. It is more diffcult in Europe where the same potential (of one of those countries) is scattered in several countries that all have their own radio stations, magazines etc. Thinking about his next tour I find it necessary for him to show up at some point.
ETA some additions to clarify...

There is no visible promo or any mentions outside of gossip tidbits here and there... We are banking a lot on the PLL show...the ABCfamily article posted earlier said that they reach 97 million homes. I wonder how many watch. Would 5% be a good assumption? IMO - Adam needs a little "gate" ... seems like thats the only vehicle of getting the wide spread coverage in this country. Interestingly enough - many outfits use Adam's name for clicks... for instance the Grammy.com poll has Adam and he is winning... does it have any meaning beoynd the clicks? What started off as a little comment about "gates" as PR strategy has taken on a life of its own. Points have been made, refuted, reiterated, re-refuted. Let's all move on. I am closing this discussion as of 1:15 EDT. Anyone wanting to further debate the topic is welcome to migrate to the dark thread. Thanks.

video, Adam and Freddie at 2:46 idolator.com/7105122/icons-nashville-lady-gaga-david-bowie-justin-bieber-adam-lambert-queenABC’s ‘Nashville’ Presents Icons: Bowie & Gaga, Freddie & Adam And The Two JustinsIdolator Staff October 10th, 2012 Next up we point out the unmistakeable similarities between strutting Queen frontman Freddie Mercury and yowling American Idol alum Adam Lambert. The obvious connection between the two is not something that was lost on Queen’s surviving members Brian May and Roger Taylor, as they’ve enlisted Adam to perform on stage with them several times. Watch our look at these pop icons the artists who look up to them above, and tune in to Nashville on ABC tonight, at 10 p.m. EST.

I think I remember some clapping and cheering during the GaGa cupcake incident. Obviously, I feel very differently because I actually remember that and still can't wrap my head around thinking that was great publicity for his career. If we think Adam's only road to success here in the states is infamy, then I'd rather things just stay as they are. I didn't sign up to stan Lindsay Lohan
