agree... but even worse is that people IN THE USA who don't follow Adam don't know about TP either. There is no visible promo or any mentions outside of gossip tidbits here and there... We are banking a lot on the PLL show...the ABCfamily article posted earlier said that they reach 97 million homes. I wonder how many watch. Would 5% be a good assumption? IMO - Adam needs a little "gate" ... seems like thats the only vehicle of getting the wide spread coverage in this country.
Interestingly enough - many outfits use Adam's name for clicks... for instance the Grammy.com poll has Adam and he is winning... does it have any meaning beoynd the clicks? nica575 I know you've been a fan, for lack of a better word, of Adam's "gates" in the past. I think I remember some clapping and cheering during the GaGa cupcake incident. Obviously, I feel very differently because I actually remember that and still can't wrap my head around thinking that was great publicity for his career. If we think Adam's only road to success here in the states is infamy, then I'd rather things just stay as they are. I didn't sign up to stan Lindsay Lohan Things can't stay as they are. Status quo is Adam has little exposure, no singles, and a low selling album. A "gate" can change this. The amas were the perfect gate. They involved his music and made a valid political point that people could talk about. The Gaga incident was different, so didn't make the same kind of splash. Yesterday people were talking about using pll as a springboard for a requesting campaign. I'd like to find out more about this plan. So far as we know, pll is the only US promotion Adam has lined up. There is no reason to waste it.

As things are, Adam has little exposure, no singles, and a low selling album. They have to change, and a "gate" can make them change. The perfect gate was probably the amas, which involved his music, reminded people of his sexuality, and made a valid political point that people could talk about. The Gaga incident was different, so didn't make the same kind of splash. btw yesterday people were talking about using pll as a springboard for a requesting campaign. I think that was a great idea. So far as we know, pll is the only US promotion Adam has lined up. There is no reason to waste it. I'm sure Adam will have more promotion in the United States, everything seems to be a secret in our Adam world.. .. sooo As far as another gate ,please NO ,my heart can't take gates.

No gates! He just needs major US promo. Or one big station to decide it will take a chance on Trespassing and put it into some kind of power rotation.

I really don't think another performance like AMA's would have the same effect because it would not be "shocking" like it was coming right off Idol but rather eyeroll inducing as in "is that all he can do?" Sorry, not a believer in publicity at all costs and all publicity is good publicity. Adam is an amazing talent but he may not reach superstardom in the US. Sad but definitely a possibility. He can still have a stellar and amazing career without turning into a joke, IMO.

There are gates and gates. The Gaga and Finnish arrest gates were pointless. amas created fruitful discussion, and were useful.

Ok, so how to get more requests to radio stations. What if...... College grassy knoll, glamberts with poster near sidewalk, poster says "Request Trespassing at #####". Those who stop, get out their phones and text, then show sent message to glambert get a prize/coupon. Itunes song, cupcake, lolly..... Would it work? Most definitely. The best requesting startegy so far.

He can still have a stellar and amazing career without turning into a joke, IMO. Both his singles post amas did well, and the album sold well. amas created a discussion worth having, and got him exposure for all the right reasons. A "gate" that forces us to confront real discrimination would be constructive for us and for him. Changing topic: Adam can't have an amazing career without sales. Sales in the US affect sales elsewhere; see Shoshanna's tweets if you doubt that. He will be relegated to jokedom if he is relegated to Vegas.

I find this very sad that Trespassing is not on the shelves of music stores in Fance. Also here in Finland Prisma department store did not have it anymore. Also bad news that radio in Germany did not as yet get Trespassing single which I think might suit very well to their taste (stereotypical assumption, sorry, but they have a lot of popularity for hard rock bands and 'the attitude track' might do well). IMO, to sell more Adam needs to come to Europe and do some promo, preferably with a concert or two. Otherwise people won't know about his new music. I understand that Japan, China, Australia are bigger markets. It is more diffcult in Europe where the same potential (of one of those countries) is scattered in several countries that all have their own radio stations, magazines etc. Thinking about his next tour I find it necessary for him to show up at some point. agree... but even worse is that people IN THE USA who don't follow Adam don't know about TP either. There is no visible promo or any mentions outside of gossip tidbits here and there... We are banking a lot on the PLL show...the ABCfamily article posted earlier said that they reach 97 million homes. I wonder how many watch. Would 5% be a good assumption? Interestingly enough - many outfits use Adam's name for clicks... for instance the Grammy.com poll has Adam and he is winning... does it have any meaning beoynd the clicks? Yeah, I usually try to shut up about the concerts in the US every two months because I know it is a big market and his home market. With my check up on France (another stereotype but my impression is that they do appreciate good voices...) brought thoughts about Europe on the surface. Last GNT concerts were in November 2010, has Adam actually performed here after that? Maxidrome festival, Russia in summer 2011 and G.A.Y. club performance, UK summer 2012 (all promo 2012 was for invited guests), was there anything else really? (With Queen yes, but his own music...) Thank heavens we get the streams and videos - otherwise even most of his fans would give up hope. Hugs to all who provide those! As for US promo, there should more of that, too. PLL is great and IMO a very good way to reach new listeners is to have his music on TV, be it shows or soaps or commercials w/e. That's the way to introduce his music and get the audience interested. Personal appearance is, of course, even better. The 'gates' increase his celebrity status but have less to do with his music - they have promotional value to some extent though. (getting back to the usual deprived state and looking forward to Melbourne...)
