Based upon some of the Dj responses to fans that it is too early to start pushing Trespassing. I wonder if the push will really be after pretty little liars, cause there is whole lot of pR on it. So I am wondering if the impact will be after the show. Even radio stations are posting the PR blurbs with the songs.

[/IMG] But isn't iTunes important? Get the EP high?
Yes, it is important for visibility to get either the EP or single to the top 10 on itunes. As it will be difficult to do that with the single people at RA (RequestAdam) and AdamStorm believe it will be easier to push the EP high on itunes. As far as I know they plan a push for the EP on release day and a push for the single after the PLL episode airs. So if you can buy the EP on release day.

Wow, I think getting the EP into the Top 10 would be really, really difficult.

I've been thinking about the plan to push Trespassing after PLL. What if we plan ahead and make another twitter account and have a couple tweets that say things like "can't wait for the PLL! Luv that show!" It would then look more organic to tweet radio stations saying we heard Trespassing on PLL and would love to hear it on the radio.

I highly doubt the Ep is going to get into Top 10 and I am the perpetual optimistic person. Top 20-50 would be great but I still don't get why. It is a thing for fans and for $$$ and promo for the single! THE SINGLE!! And the big thing many keep forgetting is that if you DL the EP at ITunes you will NOT be able to DL the singles separately. You have to get the singles separately and NOT complete the album. I have a headache!

BUT, if you buy the digital EP on i-Tunes, we will not be able to DL the singles later because we will already have the album. With 4 Trespassing singles to buy, isn't there a good chance we could get them to chart if we buy them individually? Also, isn't the purpose of the EP to promote the single? IDK, focusing on the EP doesn't make sense to me. I agree! And RCA is not looking for the EP to do anything on the charts. I remember RCA ED talking about this. Remixes and EPs are geared to the fanbase. This is a way the label can make some money off the fans. RCA does not expect casual fans to be purchasing this. BUT, with all the versions of Trespassing, we could really boost Trespassing sales. I think that's what is important. Eta---I know Shoshanna is his UK person, but maybe she could weigh in on this? It does not matter in this case, because fan buying alone is enough to make the EP chart on the Billboard 200. The BB Hot 100 requires a huge sales number for a song that is not getting major airplay. Trespassing could sell 100,000 units and it would struggle to make the Top 30. [Recent example, P. Phillips "Home" sold 278,000 units and was #10 on the BB Hot 100.] But an EP charts on the BB 200 as an album -- and a debut album. With only 10,000 units it will be a Top 30 album. No radio component in this chart -- just sales. ETA: RCA Ed comment about EPs being for fans is correct -- AO.com members asked about why RCA was not distributing the AL EP CD to retail stores. And he is right -- if an EP is going to sell 10,000 units in retail stores, you can't ship the 120,000 units needed to stock the big three retailers. (6,000 retail locations, 20 units a store is 120,000 units.) Numbers do not work. This is different. This is about getting something to chart and get noticed.
