I thought we wanted to make Trespassing a successful single?
So I come to Adamtopia and people are actively persuading folks FROM buying the single? WHAT??. If you only have a few $$ to spare, spend it on those 4 remixes/radio edits on I-tunes right on 10/16.
This is all about I-tunes impact, which is a temporary and momentary impact where fans can make a difference with a coordinated effort. RCA is giving us 4 different remix/radio edits to ensure that any fan buying them impacts the numbers 4 times.
But to impact I-tunes with about 40000 purchases all at once (which would create a noticeable position on I-tunes) 10000 fans have to buy the 4 different edits all within short order. This is absolutely doable and the adamstorm paypal donation effort was targeting this too, so that should multiply the numbers such that hopefully a top 10 is within reach.

Priority 1: Four single purchases on I-tunesPriority 2: Participate in gifting program to push single higher on I-tunes. I agree that it is unfortunate that this will be split in two between 10/16 (single remixes out) and the PPL date, but the second date will only impact I-tunes if the single catches on so well that it organically grows after PPL airs. I don’t see us fans having the clout to do anything then, just on our own. Perhaps, if top 10 gets achieved on 10/16, then we could halt the gifting for a cool down and spend the rest of the resources after 10/23 (is that when PPL airs?). But first we need to get it to chart on I-tunes on 10/16.
I understand that a remix of a single does not have much chance on HOT 100, never assumed that it would. It is a remix EP, not a new release.
Yes the EP can somehow get into the album 200 chart, but outside of the music biz and a few fans, nobody notices anything except position 20 and up. Therefore…
Priority 3: Buy EP (s) from sites other than I-tunesNot so much for charting, if it does – great- but in principle the main purpose is to bring in additional revenue for the Trespassing era, when Trespassing clearly as a overall roll-out has not yet broken even. It just helps to support Adam with whatever you can do. BUT….and that is important. Purchase on other sites rather than I-tunes or at least delay the I-tunes purchase til after the I-tunes single charting effort, to not unintentionally suck dollars out of that effort there.
