There is a presale tomorrow morning (Thursday) at 10AM PST for tickets for the 12/14 Jingleball at the Warfield SF. General sale starts Friday. Here is the link: www.axs.com/events/1326/one-republic-adam-lambertI don't think I should put the password here for the presale but if anyone wants it, PM me. Quoting myself as a reminder that the presale tickets are now available for SF Warfield. I got pretty good seats, the buying process was much less painful than usual.

I am buying one EP....probably on itunes and will then burn it to a disk. I don't not get the buying campaigns as they have proven time and again to have no impact whatsoever except to give fodder to naysayers who claim Adam's success is manufactured by overinvested fans who pad his numbers. I don't look at this as a buying campaign so much. The fanbase alone will never be able to get the single in the top 20 of ITunes, especially when then release is coming in the middle of a bunch of nothing with no big promo appearance to jump start things. But I can buy 4 versions of the single and help Trespassing get a decent start with sales. The EP will be released with probably no fanfare (it's just remixes, not new material) and then disappear. We are hoping that Trespassing is only in the beginning stages. Basically, single sales for Adam this era have been really poor. I am just hoping to give this single a little boost. And I will still buy the EP, just from Amazon. Eta---as others have said, the singles will chart separately on ITunes, but for official sales they WILL be added together. All 4 remixes will add to the total sales number.

But you know that it's 4 different versions on ITunes and they will not chart as 1. So if 10000 people buy the 4 different versions, it will count as 10000 sales on each of them, not 40000 on 1 version Nope, Teddybear. A few people responded already on the past pages, you must have not seen it. Where have you got your information from that it counts as 4? It is not true, as long as the basic melodic integrity of the song and the lyrics are the same it counts towards the single tally. RCA puts these different remixes out exactly because that is a way to encourage people who have already got the single, to basically buy it again (multiple times over).

And, it is the only way i-Tunes will count them again as sales!! That's why we couldn't help NCOE as a single because we already had the album and i-Tunes wouldn't count any new purchases as a sale! >:( But the remixes and radio edit, they will count.

For me the conversation isn't so much about how to buy multiples and gift etc... because I totally agree with you there. It's about what's the best way of going about buying the songs ie as individual singles or as an album. I'm going to buy them as individual singles because I think that's the best way to get the single visibility vs the EP. JMO. And I would have bought the songs anyway because I am really excited about these remixes. Especially the Pharrell radio edit!

IF you don't want to join a campaign, then buy the remix singles. Buying the EP (beyond one that you probably as a fan want to own anyhow), is a campaign with the hope to chart in the album charts. Is in my mind not worth it. In my mind, whether I spend $15 on EPs or go buy another Trespassing CD makes no difference, I do whatever is valuable to me (or the person I am gifting it to) at the time. The only benefit to Adam is that another $15 revenue have been created, which includes about $9 or so to cover costs. EP purchasing calls are a campaign, not the other way round.

I have never been into gifting or multiple buying, but in this case I will buy all 4 versions available. Maybe we can get Trespassing a little foundation to build upon.
