LOL, I'm so confused. Not sure what this is in reference to. That's what I get for usually reading the threads so late. I know I posted yesterday that I would try to come out of lurkdom but I didn't actually comment on anything today! I finally figured out that there is another poster here with a similar name--but we're different people. Wholeheartedly agree with the rest of your post, though! Hi Misha. I think Susie was referring to a post by Mischa earlier today. Ah, I see. Thanks, bamafan.

Also, while in "inquiring minds want to know" mode, what's with the operator that cut into the call to NZ when Adam was doing his interview? Why wouldn't it be a normal phone call that is however long it turns out to be? Why was an operator in the mix?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ching_HaiSupreme Master Ching Hai International is the corporate entity behind Guanyin Famen/Quan Yin. It is affiliated with World Peace Media, Oceans of Love Entertainment, Supreme Master Television, and several cable television series, all groups and businesses established by Ching Hai. Her organisation runs a string of vegetarian restaurants around the world, some of which sell her merchandise. In late 2008 Ching Hai launched a media campaign in Australia and New Zealand asking people to "Be Green, Go Veg, Save the Planet".[22] Vegetarianism, clean energy, and tree planting were promoted as a solution to climate change and pollution. The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association also made submissions to the Garnaut Climate Change Review advocating large cuts to livestock production.[23] According to political scientist Patricia M. Thornton at the University of Oxford, the Ching Hai World Society's heavy reliance on the internet for text distribution, recruitment and information-sharing, marks the group as a transnational "cybersect."[10] The source of wealth behind the group's charitable efforts and its media empire is a mystery, according to Thornton. Like the Qigong organisations that came to the fore in China in the 1980s and 1990s, Suma Ching Hai International adopted the structure of a business enterprise early on.[10] Much of the media produced by Suma Ching Hai International is heavily self-referential and promotional, according to Thornton, and aims to "build a public record of recognition for group activities."[10] In 1998 the organization staged a concert for donating to several prominent children's foundations in the U.S., while highlights of the event were captured in a coffee-table book. Ching Hai has had local authorities in various countries declare particular dates "Supreme Master Ching Hai Day."[10] [edit] What a large donation - what an . . . unusual donor! Are they looking for a new leader?

I love it when we can guess what motivates the questions. I bet he can too! No, he can't speak finnish. And. He has to drive for 10 mnutes to see the Hollywood sign. If he has a pool, there's a very good chance he is not in the Hollywood Hills. So having to drive 10 minutes makes sense. Hi, I am so glad you commented on this. The one house I was in, in Hollywood Hills had a steep, steep, steep, hill/and wall holding up the hill :-/ as the backyard?????? It was more like a walkway. I was actually thinking to myself, why would someone spend this kind of money to buy this house and during a major rain have all the dirt turn to mud and come down the hill towards my house???? Kevin rented the studio apartment in the house and really liked it there. The streets are so narrow two cars do not fit. Oh, the cool (????) part, the house next door to this one was once owned by Clark Gable. So if you own a house that was ONCE owned by Clark Gable it is worth having a mudslide the next time your have a weeks worth of rain. Like the week before Christmas, and that is exactly what happened. So why do folks want to spend big dollars to live in Hollywood Hills. mys*&@^#r50, what is the answer?????????

Because it is so secluded and peeps have a lot of privacy. There is also a lot of history in them thar hills.

I wonder if I am the only one?? I vote when PIA posts the link and I am here, but, I always have to count and stop voting on a odd number for good luck I am weird or what? I do not even know if odd numbers are good luck versus even numbers, it is just my own idiocies. Does anyone know if even versus odd means anything, should I buy a rabbits foot and not worry about even or odd?

I agree....That Supreme Master Ching Hai gal's organization seems unusual to say the least. I can't see AFL coming on board and adhering to their precepts ...all vegatarian, no booze or sexual misconduct, etc. LOL
