Sarin's Talking Heads interview with Adam is terrific. Maybe her hairstyle made him feel more at ease.
The "Trespassing/Another One Bites the Dust" mashup is fantastic! I hope it goes viral, and also gets some press. Now that it's on YouTube, would it help to send the video to DJs or post it on radio station Facebook pages? I think the remix could help to open ears and imaginations to how viable "Trespassing" could be as a radio hit, by comparing it to a popular, successful song in the same vein. Make it less "terrifying" to take a chance on it.
The visuals with the cool, slick shots of Adam performing with Queen could also remind radio people that he's been off doing big things in front of huge crowds, and the half-dressed clips of Freddie remind that other entertainers, who are just as out there, have been embraced.
Would they ever play the remix on radio? Maybe on Sirius or other more independent stations? Maybe international radio stations would be interested in playing it? The long mashup would probably have to be trimmed, but maybe some stations could give it a few spins as a novelty or conversation piece, and maybe that would generate listener interest in "Trespassing." Promoting the remix could be one segue into getting "Trespassing" played on its own, if listeners hear the mashup and become curious enough about the song to request or buy it. AOBD is an older song that pop statons wouldn't normally include on their current playlist, but maybe the situation would be different and fresh because it's part of a mashup, and remixes combining old and new songs are trendy?
Radio seems so afraid to try anything new or different, but if they could see the song (or the song could be positioned) as part of a tried-and-true cycle that's come around again maybe they'd be more open.
