We also forget that with radio, the stations are owned by 5 major companies, one of which is Cumulous, who own a 1000 stations, a subsidiary of Bain Corp. You all know about Bain.Need I say more about Adam getting played. I don't... ??? What happens with that Bain Corp? |

Hi all! Been reading all the possibilities about Adam touring and I think I have it figured out! Adam will be opening for himself with Queen! It will be Glambert nirvana! An hour of Adam singing Trespassing songs, followed by a wee break (you know, 30 minutes to an hour for some throat coat tea [ha ha]), and then the two-hour Queen gig of which he sings about 1.5 hours. If they staggered every two days, maybe he could swing it! Also, that would explain the $47 million voice insurance!!!
Ok, I'm pretty much kidding, but a girl can dream, right?
Here's some other stuff I just have to get out (sorry for the brain dump--feel free to scroll!):
I really wish Adam would do SNL and sing Trespassing and then OOL. It would be amazing exposure and both songs would blow up! Putting it out to the universe....!
Also, radio can bite me. I will do my best, but seriously, I can barely listen to it--some of the songs are just so awful. And, that horrid Chris Brown keeps getting airplay for a horrid song--I seriously just don't get it, people!
And another thing I really don't get is this "Adam is too old to be a pop star" meme that some folks (not here) keep spewing. I mean, the Train dude is older than 40, and Adam Levine is older than AFL, Pink is 31, etc. I think it's kind of silly, but whatever!
Finally, a small critique and thought for AFL: I think he should consider adding some other covers to his set at these one-off concerts. I love Trespassing's songs, but the amount of attention he gets for covers is amazing--mainly because he can sing anything and usually better than the original! I also think that he should consider recording and releasing new material before a new album comes out again as a way to keep something fresh out there. I also think a fresh take on an old song would be more likely to get some radio play for him as well--they love to recycle past hits (think Flo Rida's Right Round, for example).

A new cover at each show (ala Kelly Clarkson) is an excellent idea! He really only needs to add about 3 songs to his set to make it an "acceptable" length (to me.) ;D
2 more songs in the set and a 2 song encore would do it.
