I am planning a major event and inquired about a month ago. It was for a private event but in the US. Adam does not fit in our budget -- but I have some other good talent. That is the price I was given. In 2010, I also tried and it was $100K. Someday!! Someday! It will work out. ETA: Everything is negotiable but Adam does very few events and his reps indicated that there was not any room to negotiate. He does not make this kind of money for each tour stop. Touring has different economics. This was for a private event. Here are some current prices for some popular acts: www.main-stageproductions.com/ *scroll to the bottom Looking at this, artists like Jason Mraz, Pitbull, Flo Rida, One Republic and Foster the People are in the $75-150 price range. I would think Adam would be around the same price range, especially for an event on NYE. Artists like Nicki Minaj and Drake are in the $200-250 price range, which makes sense. Artists like Kesha, Calvin Harris and Bruno are "call for pricing". I would love to know how much they would ask for a gig on NYE. My guess is these three will be performing "for free" on Dick Clark's RNYE in exchange for valuable TV exposure. Adam won't be on our TV again this year for NYE, but he will get a nice paycheck to sing ten songs and gets a mini vacation in Paradise with his boyfriend. His band gets a nice little vacation too! I can find something else to do this NYE other than watch TV, like hang out with family and friends- which is what I usually do anyways!  |

I don't know why it wouldn't be accurate. It doesn't have Adam on the list, I guess because he's not a "college show type act". IDK. Maybe it is a marketing swap off. Instead of playing to a private group for 150K, you play to a large group of young college kids, who are in the age range of what CHR stations are looking to for their audience. Maybe that is why Drake and Nicki ( and even Pitbull and Flo Rida) come so cheap on this list? They would bring a much higher price for a private or corporate event, but they are getting something for future radio promo in the trade off. |
