Carla, I am not Q3, but I would say that Adam has signed for 7 years and 5 albums. That's what Kelly Clarkson has done, so far. As far as we know, Adam did not know that RCA wanted him so early in the competition. The way I read ED's comment about it is that RCA knew and TPTB knew, but Adam didn't know he'd have a contract until Top 2. Ok thanks - so this guy is right. What an oppressive contract. It is a typical major label deal. The artist get the big budget and promotion, and big advances -- the label gets the option for 5 albums -- so when they get a hit, they can get followups. |

Oh, duh! That should have occured to me. I like the way you think. If they want to be together full time, I really want there to be a way to make it happen. Oh boy, probably the quickest way to kill a relationship...Alot of pressure on the road and then have to work for your boyfriend...  Sorry, my mind went..er..NVM   |

The first time I saw Adam up close was at the Newark Idols Live concert at the barricade. The one where he "dusted" the Lambskank girl's boob before signing it. Good times! LOL I spoke to a lot of the S8 performers who preceded Adam at barricade that night: Anoop, Danny, Allison and Lil. Then came Adam. And what did I say to him? Nada... I just looked at him signing stuff and absorbed that he was right in front of me. The second time I saw Adam up close was at the Melbourne buses. Allison came at fences to sign stuff first and I believe we said hi to her. Adam came out after and my girlfriend and I proceeded to... stare at him and not utter a word. Third I see him I will try to remedy that no talking thing... LOL He is way better looking in person (and that's saying a lot cuz he is amazing in pics) and is smaller up close. He also moves in a very graceful and somewhat delicate manner. Don't know if I'm describing it well but, to me, he is a tall, slender, graceful & gorgeous man. He also has Presence with a capital "P" - an "It" factor, if you will. I imagine it would be very hard to not notice him even if he was sitting quietly in a room. I was probably standing next to you at the buses in Melbourne. It was like scene from a movie when the buses pulled out with Adam standing at the front window. That was the only time I remember that happening. |

mys*&@^#r50How many times did you get to see Adam during Idol 8? I saw 3 shows. Born to be Wild, Results night Top 5 (bottom 3, heart attack time,) and the Finale. Why? I was wondering if you might want to maybe possibly write about those times for the Idol performances thread. I remember a few things you've said about the audience's reactions and how different it was from the way it looked on TV. Anyway, I probably should have PMed you. |

OMG!! Twitter is in a massive flail about WeHo Daily's description of Adam.  His response: @wehodaily LMAO!!!!! i should've looked. i saw he had no ass though... Late, but I just watched the last episode of Drag Race, and holy fuck, but Raja is hot! Wow! She makes me all ~confused, kinda like Adam's RoF did to Kara, LOL. Sexy, sexy man, and sexy, sexy woman.
Which reminds me that a few of us had fun chatting with Sutan at the buses after one of the SF concerts last summer. He is funny and sweet and really cool. Like ~cool~, ya know, with a feline grace and elegance even when wearing jeans and a t-shirt. We gave him some contrabands which he was later filmed wearing in some vid that I can't remember. Maybe one of the Posted behind the scenes vids, when he was doing Adam's makeup. Anyway, awesome to see him on TV!

The first time I met Adam was the week after Idol at his first CBS Early Show appearance (May '09). It was also the first time I met nica575. We decided to meet at 7am. Then I got a call from her to meet at 6 am. Then another call for 5am. When the phone rang again I just said name the time and I'll be there. We met at 3:30 am. This was Adam's first public appearance. It drew a decent sized crowd, maybe on the small side for for NYC. Probably about 200 people, perhaps a little more. There were no lines around the block and a lot of people showed up at the last minute. We were right in the front, about a dozen feet from where Adam was standing at the piano. As he came out he walked down the barricade and signed autographs but stopped b4 he got to us. He still walked right by us on the way out and on the way back. Adam had such a presence you just couldn't take your eyes off of him. During sound check, if he even shifted his posture, the audience went crazy. Someone called out to him to smile, and he did. *dead*. *screams*. It was also my first up close view of the glambulge. Yes, even with loose pants it made it's presence known. Rickey's group (remember him?) was on the other side of the piano from us and you could hear them giggling. The giggling also made it to Rickey's video. Good times. edit: nica575, I only remember him singing Mad World and sitting there for the interview. Did he sing something else too? Yikes, how can I not remember? At the May 26, 2009 CBS Early Morning Show Adam sang Mad World two times -- one live rehearsal and one broadcast version. He also appeared on CBS EMS November 24, 2009 (after AMA's) -- performed WWFM and Music Again. This was the show that Leila was on, and Adam looked gorgeous.
