Just checking in and wishing everyone that they stay safe and all goes well.
Ugly situation. Have family in NC and NJ and PA and everybody is impacted. We are here in Harrisburg with just wind and rain and on high ground in fairly safe spot and probably will get inconvenienced by power outages and cancelled appointments, etc., but that is nothing to what folks further East are facing.
Skylar, I am so glad to see you went for safety and Jazzrocks and others, I will pray that you stay safe too.
They are shutting down one major bridge of I-95 now, so driving is now also difficult. Best is to hunker down and if at all possible, wait it out.
Talon, my thoughts are with all people manning 911 phones and all other first responders too. Busy days and nights for many.
Got to say though....our dog is acting like a nutcase since at least 24 hours, long before the winds got strong. It is amazing how animals seem to know....
Take care anyone....oh and one last thing, did somebody hear from Mzsue and others who might be impacted by that earthquake? So much going on, it is hard to keep up. Just trying to make sure our Atop-family is safe.
Hoppers? Any others in DC area?

Weather Nerd is reporting that if the Battery Park tidal gauges continue to rise at current rate, that major flooding of NYC will begin about 6PM Eastern time -- that is, in about 2 hours. And continue for several hours ... If you are in a flood prone area of NYC, New Jersey, Long Island, Connecticut, etc. and you can safely get to higher ground, now is the time. I am worried about Glamily and also family, including a sister who lives on the Jersey coast near Sayerville.

Please, everyone. Stay safe, wherever you are. Do whatever you need to do to just stay safe. The reports keep getting worse and worse. :-/ I'm worried about my Atop family. Just be careful.

Take care anyone....oh and one last thing, did somebody hear from Mzsue and others who might be impacted by that earthquake? So much going on, it is hard to keep up. Just trying to make sure our Atop-family is safe. No impact from the earthquake at all. I'm not all that far from mzsue and felt exactly NOTHING. The only reason I knew there was a quake was because I heard about it on the news. Go figure.
