If you are from New Orleans you may be able to vote for this guy here: twitter.com/almost_kind/status/263797865623719936/photo/1And I thought PA was weird with all its voting for judges and tax collectors and all kinds of other people you normally don't have a clue about, if they just do their normal job without getting themselves into the newspaper, which obviously makes it rather difficult to know whom to elect. I think I would have a hard time not voting for this guy though, no matter what - lol. Hand is trained since three years to make an x next to this name. Happens automatically by now. In other news: Seoulmate.....yes, I know you guys were kidding sorta, and of course so was I. I am sure the plains are big enough for both of your emus. lol Finally, re: the calendar discussion. I really like the fan art idea, but perhaps we need to move that to next year, I think that Cassie was working on an Adam Calendar 2013 since a while, so I don't want to suggest something different while she is working on that. Have not heard from her, but I assume she is quite far along at this stage in the year. I was just expressing my appreciation for the pics and how wonderful it would be to have such an official calendar. That's all.

ninaballerinaWELCOME!!!!!!!!!! There was a children's book I used to read to my class, when I was teaching 1st grade called, "Nina, Nina, Ballerina!" Is there such a book? What came to my mind was Nina Pretty Ballerina song NinaPrettyBallerina Nina, Adam was only trying to make the conversation more interesting. Relax!!! ETA: OMG, I just saw your post above about the same song. I love ABBA, esp Agnetha. You got it so right! ;D

Hia! Another new face and another Finbert. Let's see how my first post turns out. Oh and I want to apologize in advance because I will most likely make mistakes when writing English. This post is not the shortest, so I hope you understand that I will not check the grammar that carefully. I've been lurking for a while and I'm not sure yet how often I will now post, but I just wanted to say AWESOME JOB everyone! This board is my favorite place to lurk. You guys are funny, smart, and there isn't too much drama. So Adam gave that Lance Bass Dirty Pop interview. As also a Sauli fan I was a bit annoyed that Adam made Sauli (again) look like the weaker feminine half of their relationship. He was imitating Sauli's accent but imo he also sounded very feminine. Now I don't know how Sauli speaks English, but his Finnish language and behavior doesn't have that much femme in it. But well, that's just my own fan drama and I'm most likely reading way too much into it (maybe I'm the one who will bring the drama to this board ). But anyway, this is the point why I felt like I needed to post: I got curious about the phrase "get off the air". I knew what it meant but I wondered if Adam meant it also as something Sauli would say to him if he was daydreaming etc. I searched google and this song Get off the Air by Dead Kennedys appeared: Fun Fun Fun in the fluffy chair Flame up the herb Woof down the beer
Hi I'm your video DJ I always talk like I'm wigged out on quaaludes I wear a satin baseball jacket everywhere I go
My job is to help destroy What's left of your imagination By feeding you endless doses Of sugar-coated mindless garbage
So don't create Be sedate Be a vegetable at home And thwack on that dial If we have our way even you will believe This is the future of rock and roll
How far will you go How low will you stoop To tranquilize our minds with your sugar-coated swill
You've turned rock and roll rebellion Into Pat Boone sedation Making sure nothing's left to the imagination
M.T.V. Get off the M.T.V. Get off the M.T.V. Get off the air Get off the air
See the latest rejects from the muppet show Wag their tits and their dicks As they lip-synch on screen There's something I don't like About a band who always smiles Another tax write-off For some schmuck who doesn't care
M.T.V. Get off the air And so it was Our beloved corporate gods Claimed they created rock video
Allowing it to sink as low in one year As commercial TV has in 25 "It's the new frontier," they say It's wide open, anything can happen
But you've got a lot of nerve To call yourself a pioneer When you're too god-damn conservative To take real chances.
Tin-eared Graph-paper brained accountants Instead of music fans Call all the shots at giant record companies now
The lowest common denominator rules Forget honesty Forget creativity The dumbest buy the mostest That's the name of the game
But sales are slumping And no one will say why Could it be they put out one too many lousy records?!?
M.T.V.-Get off the air! NOWCoincidence much????
Sorry about the long first post. Let's hope it looks decent. Hi everyone ;D Hi Nina, sometimes things are just what they are. "Get off the air" in this context meant get off the radio I'm sure. Not everything is a cryptic message meaning something else. Its kind of reaching to think he was meaning the lyrics of an obscure song rather than the obvious meaning. That gets into tinhatting territory lol. Also, why would you think that Adam sounding "feminine" when imitating Sauli (I didn't get that at all btw) be insulting or imply he's weaker? Adam has demonstrated time and again that he believes everyone has a feminine and masculine side and he seems proud of both of those traits in himself and others. ;D Just my thoughts on your post :D I thought it was a great interview and Adam just sounds so happy. He and Sauli sure do seem to have a great relationship and I like seeing Adam so in love, he deserves it. BTW, Hi everybody !! Haven't posted in a while, but I lurk often!

Do you have any tricks to vote for the People's Choice Awards fast, allowing us to cast 1K votes per day?????? I just tried with the " Back" key after voting, say Trespassing-Adam Lambert for the Favorite album, it took me back to the previous page " Favorite Album" with " Other" box checked and " Trespassing - Adam Lambert" already filled in, I only had to hit "Cast your votes", no copy&paste needed. That is really fast, but do you know if it counts doing like that? I used the zoom feature to reduce my screen size to about 70%. That way you can see the whole page to enter your vote and the links under the Music section for favorite male artist and favorite album. Goes fast.

I remember thinking Sauli would be a really good match for AFL when I saw that clip of him with Katri in New York (?) where he pretended he was accepting an Oscar. I figured AFL could use a partner who didn't take things too seriously and help keep it in perspective. Glad to see it's working out so well. ETA - I know my post is OT but I'm trying to work my way to 2,000 posts before the new year.

Wellcome Ninaballerina! I don't either understand your concern. Their relationship is beautiful and there's a lot of humor and fun included in it.

I agree and agree. Sometimes there are just those moments when you really want to write your thoughts down and hear what others think. I just meant that in interviews he gives these bits and pieces of Sauli that do not create a full picture. That's why I liked Sauli's Fault interview where he was the one talking about himself. I know they adore each other and Adam wouldn't imply anything like that on purpose. I got it off my chest and it's all good. About the M.T.V. -Get off the Air song, I just found the connection to Adam's situation really interesting. I agree, it's most definitely a coincidence, but such a delicious one... :lninja:
