Cancelled my lunch date today so I can leave for the airport early and be there in time to hopefully catch the first part of the livestream (Adam, please don't be late, please...). Had to tell my lunch date an "emergency" came up and had to leave early. A little white lie doesn't hurt, does it? Speaking of lunch dates, I had breakfast yesterday with our latest hire in the UK. Very impressive guy - he is a physician, has an MBA, a law degree and a masters in law. And he is only 42! I noticed that he had a wedding ring so I casually asked about his family and he said, I am not married but have a partner. I told him how wonderful for him. He was visibly relieved that I did not think that it was a big deal (his parents thought he was weird). So we talked at length about marriage equality (he thinks and I agree that the US is quite ignorant in this regard) and of course, the convo ended up with my unabashed admiration of one AFL. He knows of him and the Queen concert and was thrilled that I was there. Happy flailing everyone! And hope we learn soon about Adam's Chinese thanksgiving. Wonder if it is another Amway thing - similar to what he did last year. Understand that paid bucko bucks! I can't believe when the last radio station introduced Adam my $%#@ phone rang and I missed the whole interview!
