This is pretty dire!! With a good single out, tons of radio play, and at one of the best times of year, KE$HA is only projected to sell 80-85K. :-/ She is a single seller first and foremost. And, while she might not have a splashy debut week, she will probably get 6 or 7 singles and, as a result, the album will have legs.
Kesha's first studio album, Animal, debuted at #1 on BB200 with sales of 152,000 and spawned 4 singles: "Tik Tok", "Blah Blah Blah", "Your Love Is My Drug" and "Take It Off". It has since sold over 1.4 million copies in the US. IMO, the first-week sales projection of her new album could be an indicator of sophomore slump, sure there will be more singles to come and the radio wave will certainly carry the album along the way, but it hasn't really worked out too well for Chris Brown. Brown's current album, Fortune, debuted in June with sales of 135,000 and has spawned 5 singles so far, yet only sold 375,717 copies in the US, as of last week. As a matter of fact, Brown isn't the only one, Usher's current effort, Looking 4 Myself, spawned 5 singles as well yet only managed 373,000 as of Sep. The Pop is fickle, let's wait and see what she's got...she might surprise us all!

PP's label is working so hard to push his sales. I saw the SYTYCD tour show this week (which was fabulous) and in the intermission was an ad for the album which they played twice and contained the song 'Home' so went on for about 4 mins. This is the type of advertising Adam would have benefited from and let lots of casual fans know he had a new album out.
I'm still peeved that none of the songs from Trespassing were used by the SYTYCD choreographers.

Predictions for this week's sales. They upped KE$HA's a little.
YOUR TOP 15: Taylor Swift is no stranger to the #1 chart position, and she'll be returning to that familiar perch next week, with Wiz Khalifa and the holiday-suave Rod Stewart duking it out for #2. Here's how things look as the weekend beckons:

It occurred to be yesterday that Buble doesn't have to ever make another new album. With his Christmas album sales every year, I think he is set for life! I guess I am having musings about other people's albums today! LOL! ;D Interesting that Bruno's album only has 10 tracks; no deluxe, that I can find; no presale or previews on i-Tunes. Just has its own website. Which happens to be pretty cool. www.unorthodoxjukebox.com/
