I just read why the Aquarius sign is called the water-bearer. And it fits Adam so well!!! Q3, I don't think the Libra question has been answered, but Libra shows two halves of one unit, right? Could it be the two parts of the face? thanks for this information. I learn so many interesting things here. Yeah...it really seems to fit Adam....amazing! |

The tattoo is amazing can not wait to see it finished and the colors he uses. The freckles on the face of the tattoo kind of make it a Sauli face being it is part Ram. The color may take away the freckles love to see it up close. I am thinking that there will be no additions of color or anything else... - cause IMO he would've waited until the end of the process to tweet to the world... And Adam doesn't "do" colored tattoos. But, he can always add color, if he decides to later, at any time. Sauli added color to his sleeve years later. |

Well, I am bummed out about this new huge black tattoo. I was hoping he would stay with a moderate amount of them. I hope he summons the will to call a halt at some point before both arms and shoulders, etc. are totally black with them.
And yes, of course it's my business what he does with his body. ;D
and while I'm on a critical roll here, I think it's too much message in one tattoo. I fully expect to see a kitchen sink in there somewhere if I look hard enough.

I think it's kind of hard to say he doesn't do color tattoos from the three he has already. The eye of horus does have color and the key and the writing don't really warrant it. I think this looks great uncolored but color would really enhance it, imo. I LOVE the colors in Sauli's sleeve. |

The first thought I had when I saw the tattoo was "how erotic." Maybe Adam will tell us what each area means to him. I hope it is not too personal. I can imagine all kinds of things when I look at it. First of all, Adam has bigger balls that I ever imagined. He is such a force of nature. He is so exciting and fearless. I love the tattoo on his arm. Don't know why but loved it immediately. Those freckles showing through are our Adam. So happy they are there. Makes me feel squishie. I love those freckles.
NCOE was played in our Ross store today. I almost had a heart attack. This is the first time I have heard an Adam Lambert song played in Florida. I got so excited I couldn't breathe. I hope I talked the sales clerk into watching Adam on VH1 Divas because all I could talk about was Adam and how talented and wonderful he was. I hope I don't run into her again. I acted like a total idiot. Oh well. I'm too old to care. At my age, you can do and say anything and get away with it. People just think you are a funny old lady.

Gorgeous work.
I also doubt this tat will be coloured. It already has enough going on with all of the black/grey/white detail.
I would really like to know whether Adam came to the artist with a completed image or a number of images and ideas that the artist used to create the final tat?
ETA: I also agree with an earlier post (sorry can't remember who) that this is an anchor for a sleeve. Can't wait to see what is next..... or up his sleeve, as it were....... ;D

Haven't read much of thread today but want to express opinion on the tattoo. I really dislike tattoos. They seem sorta short sighted to me, assuming you know what you want drawn on your arm at 90 yrs old seems stupid, especially when they are random.
BUT, clearly this tattoo is very well thought out and very symbolic and meaningful to him. And it is truly art. I actually LOVE it!! It is Adam and just like him it is done with meaning, artistry, intelligence, amazing skill, and exceptional beauty! This is his celebration of himself and the universe. I want to know everything about it!
Eta I especially love that the freckles show on her face so beautifully!

Well, I'm hoping he won't colour the tat. Lovelove black&white, so gorgeous and intricate. about Libra representation I am just speculating here but if you look at the horns as they frame the picture, they resemble the shape of the classic Libra balance symbol rather than the traditional ram horn shape in most astrological charts....I think that form actually is the base for the whole tat...very ingenious... ETA: also, lol that the tattoo master said it was a woman. It's a spirit I'd say, and I love the inclusion of both masculine and feminine sides. Awesome. |
