LOL...of course, they can! They just prefer clean shave, and it's also a respect and profession thing just like there're certain jobs here in the States (imagine somewhere else as well) requiring a clean shave look. But, I'll say it's a lot easier for the young Caucasian men to grow facial hair than their Asian counterparts.  My father travels to China a lot on business, and he always shaves to go over there (he usually has a beard).

I've heard it's a cultural thing. There are not many asian artists with facial hair. I checked yesterday on Asian's views of facial hair. Whether or not it is taboo. If you look at ancient pictures many of the warriors had facial hair, but in the form of a goatee that was really long. I don't think Asian men have the capability of growing facial hair. It is sparse and wirey, as they have very coarse hair. So if I had been Adam, I would have stayed away from the facial hair in Asia. But Adam is Adam, and always looking for a new look. I much prefer a hairless face on him and for all the focus to be on his mane. Adam probs grew the facial hair because he WAS in Asia -- a way to stand out. You must admit there were a lot of pretty men at KPop. |
