I'd love to try to get together. Maybe we can plan on lunch or drinks on Saturday, depending on what your schedule is with your friend.  Keep us posted. I have family coming for the whole weekend! :( :D How far in advance of the weekend will you be there, mayumi? Thursday would work for me. I know I don't post much, but I read everything you guys post and if the schedule works, I'd be interested in joining you guys. It's hard for me to get a day off during the week, but nights and weekends are usually doable.  |

Somebody posted a pic here the other day of Perze at the NewNowNext Awards with some kind of black sheer thing covering his head and face. I guess the fool was channeling his Gaga. :  I'm glad he didn't get a lot of press with it......don't think many gossip sites paid much attention to him either. Good...I'd love for him to just fade away. Well, if that isn't happening, I hope he just STFU! Sorry....but just had to say it! I'll  no more. Chunkeymonkey you are on a ROLL with your hysterical Idol recaps!  Keep em coming! |

There is confirmation that Interscope A&R is calling songwriters looking for songs -- completed songs, not-cowrites -- so they can get her in the studio quickly. That squares with the US Magazine story. And ITA US Magazine is just a tabloid that prints lots of gossip that is not confirmed. They were one of the main problems on making the Adam-Gaga party story into something that it was not. But in that case, the real culprit was the NY Post (also a tabloid IMO). In any case, it is sad she got voted off so early because she can really sing but every Adam fan knows that Idol is not about singing. Now or ever. If it was about just singing Adam would have won, and so would have Melinda Doolittle. In Adam's case, he was the real Idol and should have won. In Melinda's case, she had a great voice but that isn't enough -- you also need to connect with the Idol audience. (And not have other political factors involved in the vote.) ITA, about Pia not 'reaching" the audience! I am an Idol Loon, I admit it! I watch and I vote! As good as a singer that I thought Pia was, I never once voted for her. I need performance in my performers. I just can't help but feel that signing her and releasing a single before the winner is a mistep. Idol already suffers from credibility issues. I don't think this will help. And, I think it might seriously cut into the amount of votes they get. Why vote for my favorite to stay on if they might get a contract and a record sooner by being eliminated?! :-/ Of course, it's a different label this year. So maybe they just want to try out some new strategies. Hey! Maybe Pia can premiere her new single on the show before it ends next month?! ITA also. IMO Pia is not that special. It's not enough to have a good voice. She doesn't connect with me and I'm not moved or excited by her singing or performance. I think it is a mistake to sign her and rush out an album. I'm not seeing superstardom in her future. |

It's Saturday and I am missing my Atop friends from last week's soiree - guys, we need to do this again. It is addicting, isn't it? Mszue - have a great time at the viewing party today. We used the DVD you sent me for the soundcheck/preview and it was great. Thanks for your kindness. Midwifespal - thanks for the reminder. Did not realize today is the last day. Only $83 short of $322 K - awesome! Peeps in LA - I will be visiting my sick friend who is like a sister to me on Easter weekend. She lives in the Glendale area. Would love to meet some of you over a cup of coffee but understand if your schedules are full. I would have LOVED to meet you but will be visiting my husband,who is working in Boston, that week. It is our Spring Break. Otherwise, I would have been there in a second! |

Today is the last day of charity water. 321.600 raised so far. charity:water must have decided to keep that $20,000 donation, then. I trust they know what they are doing and that money will help a lot of people  |
