ITA also. IMO Pia is not that special. It's not enough to have a good voice. She doesn't connect with me and I'm not moved or excited by her singing or performance. I think it is a mistake to sign her and rush out an album. I'm not seeing superstardom in her future. IF it is true she is gonna rush out an album, I don't think the record label is seeing superstardom either. They are seeing a golden moment opportunity for a quick buck when everyone is focused on Pia and would buy her recording out of sympathy or to smite Idol. |

Per the translation, readers are being linked to fansites for the pictures and stirring chat. If they wander around here long enough they are going to fall into the shallow end of the pool.  I don't know about anyone else, but I'm feeling a little performance anxiety about living up to the "stirring chat" reputation. Anyone have anything stirring to say? hehe..I do not doubt for a minute that we can stir all kinds of things up! |

ITA, about Pia not 'reaching" the audience! I am an Idol Loon, I admit it! I watch and I vote! As good as a singer that I thought Pia was, I never once voted for her. I need performance in my performers. I just can't help but feel that signing her and releasing a single before the winner is a mistep. Idol already suffers from credibility issues. I don't think this will help. And, I think it might seriously cut into the amount of votes they get. Why vote for my favorite to stay on if they might get a contract and a record sooner by being eliminated?! :-/ Of course, it's a different label this year. So maybe they just want to try out some new strategies. Hey! Maybe Pia can premiere her new single on the show before it ends next month?!  ITA also. IMO Pia is not that special. I'm not seeing superstardom in her future. I think part of the reason Pia got a recording deal overnight was that Idol had to save face. As soon as Pia's name was announced, I tweeted blame to the judges. They were nothing but fan girls/boys to the contestants and did not do their jobs. All of the critics mentioned this as well. Jim Cantiello brought out a very good point about the judges and Pia in his 60 second recap. He said that Pia had the personality of wallpaper, and, since she seemed to be a perfectionist, she would have worked on it had the judges given her guidance. I think this ouster was a bigger shocker than Adam. I wasn't all that surprised when Adam didn't win. Hurt, yes, but not that surprised. When it came to the end, I wanted Gokey to stay instead of Kris. I felt that if Kris went, Adam would have gotten some of those votes. But I knew none of Gokey's votes would go to Adam. Anyway, that's a dead issue. I just wanted to show why I felt that Pia's ouster was more shocking than Adam's. |

Anyone have a link to the Leno performance of Sleepwalker? I am having a craving for it. (This after a dream I had last night in which it was announced that Adam would be making the talk show rounds, beginning with Leno, to promote his new album, haha. I guess I am literally dreaming about how fun that will be.  ) ETA: Of course, not as fun as seeing him perform them LIVE! Oh, and Chunky...great recap ;D |

Sad to see Pia go. One of the best voices on this season. Makes me think Voters aren't focusing enough on vocal/musical ability.
I can't believe how many people are tweeting Adam directly that Pia was boring. Did they read his tweet? He is saying that people aren't paying attention to vocal ability. They don't get what he's saying at all.
