Adam makes a "splash" in China!!

The "Idol" alum headed overseas for a pair of performances, hitting the Mnet Asian Music Awards on Friday and sharing a stage with Asian star Aurea on Saturday.



Adam Lambert has been making quite a splash overseas in China.

The season eight American Idol runner-up was a featured performer at the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMAs) in Hong Kong Friday, and shared the stage with Portuguese soul artist Aurea in Shanghai the next night.

Lambert entertained at the MAMAs, Asia's equivalent of the Grammy Awards, with a medley of "Whatya Want From Me" and "Trespassing," the title track off his No. 1 sophomore album. The performance showcased Lambert's Afro-clad band and back-up dancers.

The next night, Lambert joined Aurea for a duet of the Lenny Kravitz rocker “Are You Gonna Go My Way” at the Hennessy Music Festival in Shanghai,China.

Lambert returns to the United States with several gigs on his plate, starting with the Cyndi Lauper and Friends Benefit Concert at the Beacon Theatre in NYC. He will be a guest on the The Wendy Williams Show Dec. 10, followed by the Star 101.3 Jingle Ball on Dec. 14 and the VH1 Divas telecast Dec. 16.

Will it be the Nameless Tour?

Clearly, an Adam Tour is in the works, with or without a Tour Name. I expect it will eventually get a name. And I am betting it will not be anything obvious like "The Trespassing Tour".

What do you think? Will this just be the 2013 No Name Tour, or will it be The Trespassing Tour, or will it have a new name?

Let me kick off this article with two posts from Members –

Seeing the mixed opinions and after getting a few PMs, I asked myself, “What would Adam think of this discussion?” And soon after I asked this question, he tweeted the above picture and comment. My interpretation is that Adam wanted to inspire a conversation with that performance. And he reinforced my initial thought when he tweeted, "Waitillya get a Load of me" and that photo.

Every one of us needs to form their own opinion. But when forming that opinion, allow me to add this simple thought: We accept what is familiar and expected with ease. It takes time to accept what is new and unfamiliar. Once accepted and familiar, we rarely remember that we had problems accepting what was once new, different and threatening.

Let me close with Adam Lambert from the 2010 GLAAD Awards. “My mission, as all or our missions should be this year, is not only promote visibility in the Gay-Lesbian Community but promote diversity in the Gay-Lesbian Community. [looks at the non-responsive audience in the high-priced seats, sighs] Thank you.”
