Just now I am watching Velvet Goldmine again (potty break LOL) and I am wondering how many Glamberts have never seen it? I mean ... Adam does not cite it as a major influence for fun or giggles ... funny enough, it explains (in some ways) why I love Adam ...

As a news junkie, I am very excited Adam is going to be on Starting Point with Soledad O'Brien (what a fantastic melting pot name). I she is energetic, brave, honest and supports social justice issues. Anxious to hear what she will talk to Adam about. My guess would be marriage equality. Has he ever had an interview with a non entertainment journalist before?

Adam did the Babba Waawaa (Barbara Walters) 10 most facinating people in 2009. BW still does stuff besides entertainment, I saw her covering the election. Also he did a 60 Minutes interview right after Idol. Also, he did a real indepth CNN Talk Asia interview in Asia, don't know who the interviewer was, but it is a great interview, it is in the Interview thread that Cassie started. atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=newsperspective&action=display&thread=1221

It is interesting to me that he does this show and not Today Show or GMA. Did they not give him a slot on their shows this time around? Why does it have to be so tough for Adam every step of the way? I am sure Adam will be wonderful on the show. Looking forward to it. I wondered the same thing until it occurred to me that if Adam is promoting the Vh1 Divas show, the Today Show and GMA might not welcome him on their shows because Vh1 is a rival network. Vh1 is owned by Viacom, which also owns BET, the home of the Wendy Williams Show. That probably explains why Adam is appearing on her show. And since CNN is a news network, Vh1 is not direct competition for them. I was hoping that Adam might be on a CBS show, until I remembered that CBS is no longer part of Viacom. Oh, well. I guess a few Adam appearances are better than none. If the shows he appears on are Viacom related - I am wishing for Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" or "Colbert Report"

New flash -- the US Supreme Count has decided that they will hear both of the Gay Marriage cases -- DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) and CA Prop 8.
The Prop 8 case (this is the more important one) could decided if States can ban Gay Marriage. They could just rule on California's action OR could take up the broader issue of all 38 states with bans.

I would love to see him interviewed with Piers Morgan. I really like Soledad been following her for years from NBC to CNN I think she will do a less fluffy interview and touch on more serious views.

I am hoping that Roberts will not want his court to be on the wrong side of history and will vote for equal rights.

The Daily Show and Colbert are already booked for next week. Daily Show Mo 12/10: Bishop Gene Robinson (the Episcopal Bishop of the Diocese of New Hampshire and the first priest in an openly-gay relationship to be ordained as a bishop in a major Christian denomination) Tu 12/11: Laura Linney We 12/12: Cory Booker Th 12/13: Kristen Stewart Colbert Show:10/Dec/12 Diana Krall 11/Dec/12 Malcolm Gladwell, Audra McDonald 12/Dec/12 Mandy Patinkin, Michael Stipe 13/Dec/12 Sister Simone Campbell, Jeff Tweedy, Mavis Staples, Sean Lennon "VH1 Divas" airs Sunday, Dec. 16 at 9 p.m. on VH1 -- so looks like Daily Show and Colbert are not possible.
