Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays is a star-studded benefit concert on Saturday, December 8th at New York City's historic Beacon Theatre to help raise awareness about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth homelessness and support the True Colors Fund's Forty to None Project. Last year's inaugural concert was a sold out success and the audience of over 2,800 enjoyed performances from music and comedy icons, including Norah Jones, Lou Reed, Wanda Sykes, Cassandra Wilson, Alan Cumming, Jon Secada, Clay Aiken, Chely Wright and many more.
"When I first learned that up to 40 percent of all homeless youth in this country identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender I was shocked and saddened," remarked Lauper, co-founder of the True Colors Fund. "For far too long homeless youth have not received the attention, resources and funding necessary to bring an end to this epidemic. My hope is that through this inspiring evening of music and comedy we can raise awareness and much needed funds to help these young people through our newly launched Forty to None Project."
It is estimated that up to 40 percent of all homeless youth identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, yet only up to 5 percent of the general youth population do the same. The True Colors Fund's Forty to None Project is committed to doing what it can to raise awareness about this issue and develop resources to help these young people, most of whom are homeless due to family conflict.
Lauper was inspired to help after meeting an extraordinary group of young homeless gay and transgender people at a photo shoot several years ago. Already a longtime advocate for the gay and transgender community and equality, she co-founded the True Colors Fund in 2008 and the organization's Forty to None Project this past summer as a first step in this effort. 100% of the net proceeds from "Home for the Holidays" will benefit the True Colors Fund's Forty to None Project so that Cyndi Lauper and the organization can continue to further its mission to help homeless gay and transgender youth.

The World Music Awards were were founded by Prince Albert of Monaco and were most often held in Monte Carlo since they started in 1989. There was no awards program last year. This will be the first year they are in Miami.

Adam Lambert has had some fun with it, hence the drawing on the picture and the blueberries on the sleeve and neckline of the mini T-shirt, but we can assure you that it is all 100% Adam's work. *ABOUT THE MENEER KONIJN/MR. RABBIT CHARITY CAMPAIGN*
Q-Music, the biggest commercial radio station in Belgium, has done some amazing promo for Adam Lambert. They organised the Q-Snowcase where Adam performed on his 30th birthday and they also did a a great promo on the Queen + Adam Lambert shows by means of a ticket giveaway.
Q-Music has an ongoing charity campaign with a plush bunny 'Meneer Konijn/Mr. Rabbit' as a mascot and Adam Lambert has already met the plush bunny in Austria during the Q-snowcase earlier this year (as you can see in the pic on the front of the mini T-shirt). The plush bunny belonged to a little girl named Noa, twin sister of Fenna. The twins were born prematurely, Noa was struggling and, unfortunately, passed away on the day of her 2-month anniversary. Her parents provided Noa's plush bunny to Q-Music for the course of the charity campaign, it was their way of symbolically showing their little girl the world through the eyes of her favorite cuddle toy. The plush bunny is traveling all over the world for one year and is being sponsored per kilometer. Meneer Konijn/Mr. Rabbit started his journey on January 27th, 2012 and his first trip lead him to the Q-Snowcase in Austria where he had some quality time with Adam Lambert. Other trips have taken him around the world and he also took part in the Hong Kong marathon, Tour de France, has been to Hollywood for the Oscars, was at the London 2012 Olympics, and has met several celebrities along the way.
The money that is raised through the charity campaign will give many underprivileged Belgian children the opportunity to celebrate and enjoy Christmas as they've never known it before and will also support 'Kindergeluk vzw/Child Happiness Organisation'. Adam Lambert was introduced to this charity campaign at the Q-snowcase and was touched by the story behind it, therefore we felt it would be appropriate to donate the proceeds of this Queen + Adam Lambert (QueenBert) exclusive auction to the Q-Music 'Meneer Konijn/Mr. Rabbit' charity campaign.
