A little OT -- watching Law and Order: Criminal Intent. They are investigating a murder in a theater. The actor had received a bouquet of flowers which contained peacock feathers. It was noted that that may have been an ominous sign as peacock feathers are considered bad luck to the theater crowd. Who knew! I wouldn't have guessed that for all the peacock feathers that Adam has worn from time to time. Oooo, big time no-no. Theater folks are a superstitious lot. FYI, the worst crime is probably saying the name of "The Scottish Play" within the theater walls. ( MacBeth) I had no idea they were serious about that and spoke the name. The two theater people I was with turned white and shooed me out of the theater with directions to turn around three times and spit over my shoulder to break the curse. You would have thought I was on an airplane and said I had a bomb in my carry-on. :  |

very different from the old renditions .. can't wait for tonite's formal performance

That ancient Mad World??? That's it?? Hoping for more... pls :( :( :( Frankly I am very intriguing to hear what his 'new' voice sounds like in the old Mad World But, but, but.... Did you hear that beautiful, rich, velvety tone on the keek video? GORGEOUS. People who have not heard Adam sing before are going to have to pick their chin off the floor. And remind themselves to breathe. |

And remind themselves to breathe. His tone is so true and full. It's just so beautiful. I just wish they wouldn't sing the slowest version (as you said "ancient" LOL). I think Cyndi would sound better with it a little more kicked up. |
