Roberta Flack is the definition of class. Here's a recent interview with her, where (towards the end, about 2:45) she talks about how, at the age of 73, she still takes vocal lessons. She says, paraphrasing, "You keep polishing the tool. Keep shining it, and making it brighter." You see some recent clips of her singing/performing too. That Shanghai hang keek was a lot of fun.
It's a long-held fantasy of mine to hear someone sing Roberta Flack's "Killing Me Softly" to Adam. And if he could somehow sing with her at Cyndi's benefit concert that would be even more awesome . . . "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" or "Feel Like Makin' Love" or "The Closer I Get to You" (ready-made duet!) or . . . so many possibilities! Something with Sarah McLachlan would be beautiful, too. Adam sounded great in the clip with Cyndi. Can't wait to hear them together. When he retweeted the "Outlaws of Love" comment recently, it made me think the song was on his mind because of the show and that maybe he'd sing it tonight, too. Would also be cool to hear a group jam on some songs. Whatever they do, it's sure to be a wonderful night.

Privacy. What is private anymore. There are cameras in the street, cameras in the restaurants, cameras at your work, cameras in the clothing stores, grocery stores. parking lots. I bet there are cameras in that theatre. When has Adam kept much private? Just little spots in his personal life. I feel like I have been living The Adam Lambert Story for the last four years. I wish I could turn away and leave his life. But I can't I need his voice and face. I don't have baby pictures of some of my best friends. I now have a page full of Adam. Wow, I am a mouthy bitch.
