Adam Lambert takes the cover of Fiasco‘s Obsession issue, on newsstands December 11.
Here is what the 30-year-old singer had to share with the mag:
On Queen: “Those shows I did with Queen were pretty surreal. I was really excited and super flattered but intimidated at the same time. How do you live up to some like Freddie Mercury? There was no way I could ever compete with him. I had to let that go and create an experience of paying tribute.”
On looking good: “The way I look at it there’s just as much pressure (on men) but men aren’t supposed to talk about it. Its supposed to seem easy, but men, especially in the public eye are just as worried as women are.”
On being a poster boy for the LGBT community: “For the general audience they look at the way I style myself and they go ‘errrr, that’s gay’, but you ask a handful of gay guys and they’re like ‘I would never where that’!”

Adam Lambert Joins Cyndi Lauper and Friends in New York City

It’s been three years since Adam Lambert captivated American audiences with his haunting interpretation of the Tears For Fears classic, “Mad World,” but an audience at the Beacon Theater in New York City was treated to an encore.
Lambert, who sported a new mustache for the occasion, was a guest performer at the “Cyndi Lauper and Friends: Home for the Holidays” concert to benefit homeless LGBT youth.
After an introduction by Bravo’s Andy Cohen praising all that is Adam ("he knows what to do with the mascara lines... the first openly gay person to go straight to number 1!") Lambert and Lauper teamed up for a duet of the ‘80s chestnut to a screaming crowd.

Adam Lambert is one of the most sensational artists out there, yet when sharing the stage with one if his idols, he went all fanboy on her. “Look who I get to do a duet with! OMG!” Adam shared with the crowd before Cyndi Lauper walked on stage. I can’t believe she asked me to do this! This is amazing!”
All the star power on stage melted away, however, once the eerie song (best known from Donnie Darko) began. Cyndi and Adam harmonized in a haunting way that quite literally gave us chills.
