just curious-
The Australian dj's who made the prank call to the UK hospital where Kate Middleton was staying, and appear to have created a very sad, unfortunate outcome, are Mel Greig (a woman) and Michael Christian. I'm just curious if Adam ever spoke with them while doing promo. He did visit some shock jock types.
On and off Adam, and I guess a variety of guests of all kinds, have had to put up with some pretty darned irritating interactions with dj's. This latest "prank" may cause some radio stations to rethink their programming.

Continuing the discussion of duets.... I think Adam has fun with them because it creates a complexity for him. It's a chess game where the duet partner isn't an adversary but a friend. The partner sings one note and Adam reacts by playing his pawn or sending a bishop clear across the board. And each duet partner needs a different strategy, be it song choice, rock attitude, or this weeks ethereal flight. As Adam said the very first time many of us saw him. He can sang. He enjoys playing with a mirror but when he does that he knows what the partner in the mirror is going to do next. When the partner is real then every next note is uncertain and that, for him and usually for us, brings spice and excitement. Because of the joy that Adam brings me, I want to celebrate the spirit of the season with other Adam fans. Jablea, I completely agree about the duets -- we know that Adam gets bored and likes to experiment vocally and with presentation. Adam last Tweet... Strange mood!  I read yesterday's thread and I found a post with the words "SuBo gate". What's that? ??? The news about that nurse are so sad...  The hospital probably reprimanded her hard, not because it was Kate Middleton, but because you just shouldn't release patient info by phone. Precisely because you don't know if the caller is who they say they are. But of course, if you're told the Queen is on the phone, what are you supposed to do? She was probably too nervous and scared and couldn't think clearly in that moment. Poor girl. Those DJs must be feeling horrible right now too... Very sad. |

Hmm just had a thought while listening to Bombay Dub Orchestra ;D that it's a good thing fans take vids of Adam's performances despite all obstacles.. otherwise, all these articles about his amazing duet with Cyndi would just be words without the compelling visual and audio evidence for all to experience..  |

Well. He's always so careful when he talks about other artists, it's hard to think he would say something like that, at least in that careless and spiteful tone. We all know how the media like to create sensationalism from a harmless comment. But who knows? Those were difficult times for him, he had to deal with so much shit... : |
