Yeah, religion always helps. The Taliban allows religion and prayer in schools, but they shoot girls who try to get in.
What Gokey said is what Mike Huckabee just said, and I sent out a tweet that said, "Mike Huckabee proves himself to be a moron once again. The history of religion is soaked in blood." Thirteen people have retweeted it so far, which is the most retweets I've ever had.

Regarding religion/violence, we had a similar discussion today on facebook. The pope (always brilliant...) said gay marriage was threatening the word peace. Of course, because we don't have any example at all along the history about wars caused by religion. Gay marriage, on other hand... well. |

There is no one right thing to say at such a heartwrenching time, but I don't think that hateful rhetoric like Neil's has a place right now.
In contrast, I think Adam's remarks are beautiful and just so Adam. He has a heart as big as the world - one reason I love him so much.
