drive by post: My impressions of the show. Damn, Adam is an excellent actor! I will never believe him when he says he can't act or isn't very good at it. The opening piece was priceless! Adorable! Hot! Such a HOOT!!! I agree. Adam is too self-deprecating. The reality is that if Adam couldn't act, couldn't memorize lines of dialogue or couldn't remember song lyrics (three of the often-repeated memes about him), he would not have been able to have a career in musical theatre. I suspect that he is a better actor than he admits.

I just check a recording from the live stream -- YIPES, it did not sound like that on my TV. Now I get the comments!! lol Yes, I'm still here... I'm hopeless. Glad to hear it wasn't as bad as it seemed in the live stream. Can't wait to hear it in good quality then! Oh, I think you will like it when you hear a proper recording. The last two thirds are particularly good, he gets into the groove. I just love how he surprises us, either with song choice or costuming

I can't figure out how to watch this - tips?
It's just in somebody's photobucket album, and the vid started playing as soon as I clicked on the link!
I don't see a link, sigh. I'm terrible at this.

Very important night for Adam ... Your interpretion of my thoughts are out of line! Perception checking is everything!I could of/should have been more clear. Well maybe lucky those of you are listening to it on TV heard something different! The stream was like barely audible at the beginning ...and did get better but you could not clearly hear the words to the song...(Adam is usually clear as a bell). I was sick for him. Nothing at all to do with my displeasure of ADAM! Glad to hear the live version was better that what I heard.
From my TV you could clearly tell it was a sound glitch at the beginning, every live performance bears the risk of not having a perfect sound but that hasn't really ruined any singers' careers because of one imperfect performance. Remember Lana Del Rey's horrible SNL performance, she has sold almost 3 millions CDs this year and is the #4 best-selling artist of 2012 in the world, and AMA...
Overall, Adam sounded great so new audience would draw their own conclusions, bottom line is people that would dig artists like Adam will check him out, if not their cupa then it doesn't matter how good he sounds. Listened to Ray of Light on VH1 videos much better.. sounds gorgeous.. Adam was great tonight .. needs a weekly show of his own.

Just watched---ok, Ray of Light was not good. I'll blame the song, it has to be very hard to sing live. And sound issues, because he was definitely having trouble with the earpiece. But, it also wasn't nearly as bad as I had feared after reading the thread. The night as a whole was a huge win for Adam.

I would love to see the opening skit. I was able to watch Gale's Donna Summer tribute and that was great. Hopefully someone will rip the skit also. Adam hit such a high note in the tribute, I bet chandeliers tinkled.
