Ya know what? Fuck E News. They just did their bit on VH1 Divas and no mention whatsoever about Adam. God, that pisses me off. Who exactly did they mention if not the person who had the most face time? |

A message from our Shadow...she was watching the Divas last night with close-captioning, and when someone commented about Pitbull being the sexiest man, the closed captioning added "except for Adam Lambert.". Shadow said she replayed it to make sure she wasn't seeing things! ;D PS:she still lurks now and again. I'm just laughing so hard I scared the cat. Using a word that an abusive man uses when he rapes a woman, when he wants to treat another human like nothing,... using this word as a show of solidarity is seriously ignorant and immature. Women fought long and hard to be treated with respect, to raise our own female asses (and help raise all those beautiful gay asses) up. If this is a gay solidarity, insiders code it is time to evolve. Many will rush in defense and label me an upiddy pearl clutcher. It couldn't be further from the truth. So, don't bother. From the urban dictionary many people in Britain and Austrailia actually use it among frends as a term of endearment). In Australia, UK/NZ , cunt can be used to address friends or to jovially comment about their slyness. Cunt is also becoming more commonly used by woman in Australia too, but it's still not a great word for the older generation. How you goin you old cunt? Thought to be the most effective word in the english language for making ones point. It may also be sprinkled onto everyday sentences to spice them up rather dramatically. |

I just explained to a close friend how deeply upsetting it is to me that Adam uses the word, upsetting to the point where I might stop being a fan altogether, and she just looked at me and said "Well, the gay community has not evolved as far as the black community when it comes to this kind of offensive solidarity term. You'll just have to understand that if you want to continue being a fan." Your friend sounds pretty unevolved herself. Sorry, but it's pretty fucking ignorant to lump an entire community into a group based on one individual's comment that offends you. In fact, I'd say that her entire statement reeks of ignorance not to mention just being laughable. |
