I just checked Twitter. No one in my feed is talking about it, so I guess there weren't that many people offended. :dunno: I guess it's the kind of word they use in his circle of friends that doesn't mean anything at all. I have words like that within my circle of friends; words that maybe aren't politically correct, but we say it to each other in a loving way. It probably slipped, and either he realized how it would sound to others, or someone told him. But come on, we know he's a good guy. He embraces everyone, he accepts everyone. He's a sweetheart. Don't take it so seriously.

I don't get it....the guy gives us so much...and one transgression...no longer want to be a fan.
Wow, everybody must be perfection and doesn't slip...ever.....Hmm....I need to go hide behind a rock for awhile.

He didn't take it down, it's still there. It's not the first time he uses the word in a tweet I believe. I'm in the same position as albiku, it didn't offend me but English is also not my native tongue.
I will say that these types of words in portuguese also wouldn't offend me if used in this way. It's all about perspective. I've always thought that words have the power we give them. They're our tool, we control them not the other way around.

The tweet is still there. He didn't delete it.
ETA: I agree completely with Murly, by the way.

He took the tweet down, probably realizing his mistake..Adam has explained that words are just words that it's the intent behind them that gives them meaning.. He had a George Carlin moment. It is understood he didn't use this word to ... you know.. The problem is that not that many people on tweeter know him enough to get what he really meant by that stupid word. :-/

Adam has removed his tweet. Respect. I have deleted both of my comments.

TBH, I'm not offended by him using that word. But I just think it was a silly moment for him

PopMatters Picks: The Best Music of 2012 The Best Pop Singles of 2012 (Dec 17, 2012) www.popmatters.com/pm/feature/166433-the-best-pop-singles-of-2012/“Never Close Our Eyes” was one of the most underrated crowning achievements of the year and the perfect melting pot of all the different shades of Adam Lambert’s music. It is not only a pulsing techno/club raver, but an intelligent ballad as well. Unlike other party tracks that travel into a seedy message of impending doom, this presents the point of view of an all-night partier who isn’t crying out for help, but just wants to enjoy every moment he has. There’s a subtle touch of romance in the lyrics as well, as it is not “my” eyes being referred to, but “our” eyes instead. I agree I love the song.. There has to be an alternative to American radio.. They have shitty taste and play the same old tired songs over and over again.
