NBC's Ann Curry has come up with a brilliant idea to honor the 26 children and adults we lost in Newtown, CT by performing one act of kindness for each of them (see link below for the story).

When I read this, I immediately decided to follow her example, and completed my first two acts right then and there. But then, I also realized: Adam's birthday is next month. What better way to celebrate this lovely, beautifully-spirited man and the light he brings to this world than to perform an additional 31 acts of kindness as a thank-you to the Universe for all he is and all he gives us?
You might think it's strange (or even inappropriate, maybe) to want to pay tribute to both the victims of a tragedy and a pop star in the same way. But as Glamberts know, Adam is no ordinary pop star. InnerLight, a poster on the Adam Official site, captured Adam's personality very well in this quote: "Adam is a master mentor at being all he is despite adversity and he does it with kindness. He spreads love and light wherever he goes. In fact, I've heard him use those words often, 'love and light' , 'all are one.''' In other words, Adam didn't just sing Ray of Light the other night -- he IS a ray of light.
Acts of kindness don't have to be monetary donations; they can be cash-free but heartfelt activities like doing chores for an elderly relative, volunteering at an animal shelter, or sitting with a neighbor who has Alzheimer's so his caretaker wife can get a few hours of rest.

WOW...I did it. Emailed her and received a response almost immediately. Got the code, entered my apple id and downloaded it and voila...there it is. She has a really pretty voice. It was easy!!! Whew...so glad this worked out. Just purchased a new puter and was a little bit nervous. Good results tho. So glad. :Clap:

This is a wonderful idea. I'm sure Adam would approve. I'm going to start thinking of things I can do. |
