I want to respond to cassie but I do not know if I got it right posting with the quote . I knew about Adam since idols days. Though I admire him, I was still not addicted. I did not have time to indulge myself with songs but was into downloading old movies and reminiscing before youtube took them out and operas,too. Brigadoon, TV special starring Robert Goulet beats the Brigadoon movie IMO, and CTMBTM in that TV was awesome. But Adam's version is still tops. Oh yes, I found it only in the last week of October this year. Cassie, since I read your blog, I listened to other singers and songs that I liked before. I found out that my ear found them not as pleasant as Adam's voice. Talking about pitches which I am ignorant, and thought that those singers could invent their own notes, you know their own version - flat,sharp or whatever. You put my appreciation for music on a much higher bar. How others pale with Adam's voice. Now if he could only put out an album with all time Broadway classic hits and arias! That would be an all time great!!! Thanks for replying. Isn't Adam's voice amazing? But, he does spoil you for other singers. Welcome to the small cheering section who want Adam to put out an album of musical theater and opera. We may be few in number compared to the rock gawd Adam fans, but we are a passionate group. I think the odds of Adam actually putting out such an album are probably worse than him putting out an album of Christmas songs, but, hey, a gal can dream, can't she? I remember when I first chatted with Angelina, the opera singer, I said I thought that Adam could sing opera if he chose to. She not only agreed with me, but said that if he had gone that route he would have been in high demand around the world. With as adventurous as Adam is, and as eager to try new things and big challenges, it is not totally impossible that one day he could surprise us with an aria. It could happen, right? and addicted - I too am part of that small cheering section that would like to hear Adam singing Broadway and/or opera. I would love to hear him sing "Chi Gelida Manima", La Boheme. addicted - Adam has said that would like to sing the part of Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar - Also, if you want to hear a real treat, check out Adam singing "My Conviction" in Hair; you can find it on youtube. Following Adam is an adventure, because you never quite know what's to come. Right now he's into creating his own material, but sometimes he comes up with something quite different like Bob Marley's reggae "Is This Love" |

I still dream of him putting out those albums. How I wished for his version of "Oh Holy night"!! Even just a youtube version and no accompaniment. BTW, addicted and singbert and other new members. We have a fun thread called "Holy sh!t, that's ADAM?" - voice versatile! ON the thread members have posted examples of the many different styles and sounds of Adam's voice that someone just discovering Adam would never imagine he could sing. A mistake? Then I listened again... was it really him? really?Awesome! Actually I prefer smooth flowing like CTMBTM which I listen over and over again, everytime I am transformed into bliss. His interpretation is sublime. Is this Love is awesome too. Adam's vocal gymnastics is something to be admired. WWTLF and the show must go on always give me goosebumps. |
