Shaping Up in 2013

So it’s a New Year once again. The holidays are almost behind us and unfortunately for many the pounds are clinging behind us also, well speaking for myself they are anyway. So that means it’s time for another Shape Up thread.
We’ve done this twice before and I’ve set a 10 week deadline and everyone has set individual loss goals. I’m thinking this time we’ll push the group aspect more.
What do you think about a end goal of 100 pounds for the group? (That’s 45 kilograms for those of you outside of the US)
That way if I’m not kicking it into gear and keeping up with everyone and helping toward that goal you all have permission to kick me in my extra pounds (read end) and tell me to get with it.

You don’t have to need to lose weight to participate in the thread, we can use all the cheerleaders, workout partners, and good examples available.
Check-in day this year will be hump day, that’s Wednesdays because they are the middle of the week. First check in is Jan 2. If you’ve lost weight since xmas, I’m all for including it in our total. I’ll post the group total on Thursdays. Experience shows that participants who check in and post on the thread every day are more likely to lose weight.
You can join at any time. When I’m ambitious and you haven’t checked in for awhile I may call out your name on the main thread to get your booty over here. Yep, boot camp. This thread is in the open area of the board, anyone, even guests can read it so don’t post personal information you don’t want to share with the universe.
We share recipes, try to copy Sauli’s smoothies, exercise to Adam’s songs, you name it. Some of our past recipes are here www.atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=se&action=display&thread=47
So time to Shape Up so we can be dancing our booties off whenever Adam’s non-tour tour hits our shores.
So that’s 4 weeks till Adam’s birthday, 6 weeks till Valentine’s day, 11 weeks till the first day of Spring.
As an added bonus I’ll donate to TAGS, The Adamtopia Giving Society, whatever our group total is on Valentine’s Day.
