Well I really don't know how much I lost. I'm saying 2. I weighed at 6 am and I hadn't lost any. I ate breakfast and weighed again 3 hours later. Down 3 pounds. #areyoukidding? Then again an hour or two later and only down a pound. So I'm averaging and yes every time I was sans threads. Guess it really is time for a new scale.
I've been making smoothies like mad. Almost all feature half a banana and then equal or double in fruit of either strawberry, raspberry, or blue berry. All fruit, including banana's frozen at least from the night before. #nomorespoiledfruit Add to 1 cup of vanilla almond milk. Freeze any left over mixture.
Had pineapple smoothie tonight. Haven't got that one figured out. It does not taste yet like what I got at the Pad Thai restaurant.
juniemoon, I'll get you some squash ideas this week. Lots of things to do.

Thursday - Shadow Boxing
Seems like a lot of us are experiencing the deep freeze so Boxing moves are something that doesn't require any equipment at all and serves to warm up your blood in the middle of the night when the house is cold and everyone else is asleep.
Stand squarely with legs spread comfortable distance. Punch the space in front of you (something reflective is great to aim at be it TV or window)
Follow some patterns. Repeat and mix match.
Left Right left right Left Right left right
Left Right left right Left left Right right
Left left Right right Left left Right right
Alternatives
Bend knees - follow pattern again
Slow pattern down and bend knees when pulling punch back then stand up as you punch forward
Stand with one foot forward - still wide stance and repeat patterns, switch feet
With foot forward stand more sideways, jab jab with forward hand, twist from waist and punch with rear hand, repeat then switch feet
Keeping legs bent in square stance at end of each pattern perform a forward kick, repeat pattern, kick with other leg
With square stance, twist to face side and punch with opposite hand, repeat patterns
Extra Fun
Run down to the dollar store and buy a mylar (metallic) balloon filled with helium so it floats. Tie the string to something lightweight like a key putting the balloon at punch height. Punch or kick the balloon when possible, move around and get it from all sides.

weighing in a day late (again)... my scale is vague but it looks like I lost another lb. So, I'm calling it 7 to go. yummy [tm Adam] butternut squash recipes: 1. toss chunks with a little melted butter, brown sugar and coarse salt, then roast for ~45 min. 2. make soup by sauteing chopped onion, then add cut up squash and apples, plus liquid to just cover. I use water/cider mix. cook ~20 min. till soft, then blend and season. they sell it already peeled and cut up which to me is well worth paying for.

Chappy! I didn't recognize you. Very appropriate avatar, the smiley maker, lol.
Love doing the rope a dope while shadow boxing. Movement is very important. It's good to come here and relax, I was on a three hour conference call this morning and a bit of stress over a different project.

I had a community garden in Boston once and there was a problem with outsiders coming and stealing the produce. I asked the person in charge what we could do about it and she said, "plant kolhrabi. they don't know what it is, so they won't take it." I hope this was helpful.

Friday - Butternut Squash So it's all full of great vitamins and minerals but what to do with the bounty? Cut in half, scoop out the seeds, and bake upside down or microwave until soft. Then what? I'm partial to butter and brown sugar but since I'm the only one in the family who eats it that only accounts for about a fourth of it. So you scoop everything out, throw it in a food processor and spin for 30 seconds just to break up the stringyness. Take it out with a 1/2 cup measuring cup and place the scoops on a wax paper covered cookie sheet. Freeze. Remove frozen lumps and store back in freezer in a ziplock.
I have used one or more frozen scoops to add to: -pancake mix -anything with a tomato sauce - spaghetti, sloppy joes, chilli -banana bread (I've replaced all of the bananas with squash with almost no difference) Ok, I'll even give you the Sloppy Joe recipe - I used 2 scoops this week when I made it because I was short on the salsa Asian Sloppy Joes1 package ground Turkey (1-2 pounds) 2 tablespoons chopped Garlic 8 ounces salsa (for me this is half a jar) 1/2 cup squash and/or grated zucchini 3 tablespoons Hoisin Sauce 3 tablespoons Water 2 tablespoons Rice Wine Vinegar 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder 1/2 tsp ground Ginger Brown the turkey and garlic in frying pan. Add everything else. Bring to boil then turn down to low, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve on buns or use as a baked potato topper.
