Checking in!! I am down 2.6 lbs for a total of 15.8 lbs! Doing more exercises and trying not to binge out. I do tend to lose in spurts always. Keep up the good work everybody!

Down 1.8 from last Wednesday. August has been a good month for me. I've lost an average of 1lb a week through the month so far.

I have kept up with my exercise this week.
5x full length walk 1x aerobics 2x swimming 4x tractioning
Otherwise feeling a little discouraged. I know my goal has not been to lose weight but to try to adopt a healthier lifestyle ... still working on eating veggies and all that ... but still, you'd think it would make more of a difference in how you look and feel. Oh well. This time of year is often a down period because the relentless heat gets so old. I'm sure I will feel more energy when the heat breaks.

Wednesday - Check in day
Ooops, got my days mixed up. Travelled across the state yesterday for a funeral. I was thinking I'd have a day to shed the funeral food ie pizza, lol. It was appropriate.
rihannasu, I'm just so impressed, you are having real success.
juniemoon, don't get discouraged, you are doing a ton of exercise. Did you have the energy to do that much before?

You may be building muscle. Sometimes it helps to do measurements, too, and then you can see the difference. Weather is a problem. I hate hot.

With all the exercise you are doing you may not actually be eating enough. Eating healthier often ends up as lower calorie especially when you are eating lots of vegetables and fruits. The more you exercise the more you need to eat. For instance I am walking 6 miles three days a week and a longer 14 to 20 on one weekend day. My average daily calorie intake this month has been 2059 calories. That's about 100 calories a day higher than my average last month and yet I am losing more at a steadier pace.

You guys are nice. I think I am building a bit of muscle and endurance. It's all just under my fat. LOL. Excelsior (onward and upward).

Oh, oh! I just got a box of stuff with things I'm not used to cooking- kale, carrots and big tops, beets with tops and chard. Any suggestions??? Probably will eat carrots raw but tops are huge!
