Wednesday - Check InI'm doing good with exercise, walking the dogs sometimes twice a day, not rihansu's distances though . And working out with the trainer and my neighbor twice a week. I am a lot stronger and fit. Played some tennis for the first time in 14 years, the shoulder is healed up from the horse fall, and I've been doing enough sit ups that my bladder decided to behave (having kids is bad for women's health). Finally figured out that since I take my android phone with me all the time maybe someone has come up with a pedometer for it and sure enough. I use Accupedo on the least sensitive setting, there was another one which made me register in order to use it. I uninstalled it like a hot potato. My downfall continues to be food. I did have cabbage, banana squash, and yam this week but I still eat far to many sweets. Willpower is not in my lexicon I guess. I'm trying to increase my jello intake too. I bought some pears to do Juniemoon's recipe I've got to start the crock pot today before they spoil.

I was a bit of a slacker this week. I had another appointment at the usual farm basket time, so I had to skip getting one until this week (today). Can't wait to see what I get. And, it was my birthday weekend. So I ate a ton. As Jablea said, I am eating some good healthy stuff but also a lot of other stuff while I'm at it. Hope you like the pears J!
No big revelations. Made some squash sauteed with sweet onions -- really easy and really good.
Exercise:
4x walk 1x aerobics 1x tractioning
Good luck all.

I had a bit of a pig out day too, terrible chocolate craving, plus we had company for several days, but managed to lose 1 lb. so I'm happily surprised by that. I'll take it! Had 2 regular walks and we did walk quite a bit with taking our relatives around so certainly had the exercise part down ok. Good to hear the exercise is paying off for you Jablea!
I'm away next week, but will try to check in if I can, otherwise it'll be the week after. I'm sure I'll be deviating from my eating plan, but will try to keep it somewhat under control. It's too much hard work to lose the weight, and so easy to put it back on!
Carry on downwards everyone!
ETA Happy belated birthday Juniemoon! How is the self-employment going?

Up about 1 1/2 lbs but not surprising since with company we have been eating out more and eating bigger meals too.

YAY!! Did much better today! Down 3.2 lbs for a total of 20 lbs so far. Not as impressive as it sounds since I was up 1.6 lbs last week. Slow but working at it. Trying to increase my exercising a bit every week. Carry on, all! We are few but mighty!!!!

That's how you do it jablea, just a little further every time til you loose your mind and do something crazy. LOL Think of it this way, if you have playlist of Adam then the further you walk the longer you listen to Adam. My check in has me back down to what I weighed two Wednesday's ago so the blip up last week from all the extra eating out is gone. Had lots of bouncing up and down daily though as much as 2 1/2 lbs at a time. Felt like a yoyo all week this week. Rain is currently screwing up my walking schedule.

I slacked again a bit this week but have gotten a bit more in gear the last couple of days. The self-employment just started about three weeks ago and I'm still in the stage of getting my name out and proposing/bidding rather than actually working per se. Will be glad when I land something however small. I'm working with a business launch coach starting this week and that looks like it's going to be both fun and worthwhile.

jablea, how did the pears turn out? I got a million pears in my farm basket so will be making them again. With the drought the farm basket is less than compelling right now. The big novelty was persimmons. I have never even seen a persimmon before. I made zucchini-persimmon bread and it turned out great. If anyone has any ideas for okra let me know. I put it in stew last night.

Well unfortunately it turned out with mixed results for us. Hubby liked it, but me and the kid didn't like the peels and the raisins were too done. My pears were a bit old so maybe the peels were tough. I still have what's left in the fridge. Maybe puree it and turn it into pear butter or spread? I suppose I should at least freeze it and use it in a smoothie. Any good recipes for eggplant? And have I asked before about what you do in your new business?

Congratulations Stardust on the 20 lbs loss! You're getting there, bit by bit.
Checking in while away for a family visit. Lost 1.8 lbs this past week, in spite of the icecream I had the last 2 days! So pleasantly surprised and encouraged. Did get quite a few walks in this past week, so that's probably helping. My right foot is hurting right now, so hope that goes away. Once I'm back home on the weekend, I want to start adding to my regular walk and at least build up to an hour, from 45 minutes. Curling season will also be starting next week, so I'll be doing that twice a week as well.
Rihannsu, was it you that had the Fitbit? You just carry it around in your pocket? I'm thinking of getting one next time I find it on sale somewhere, interested in knowing how much I actually do on my walks and when I go curling.
Wishing you all a great week! Hope you land some work soon Juniemoon!
